Retrouvez votre guide et montez dans un minibus climatisé à votre hôtel d'Avignon, avant de quitter la ville pour votre excursion de découverte de la Provence. Riche d'une histoire millénaire et abritant certains des plus beaux paysages du sud de la France, la Provence cache des secrets dans tous ses recoins !
Le premier arrêt de votre grande découverte de la Provence est Orange, une ville fondée par les Romains au Ier siècle de notre ère. Suivez votre guide au cours d'une excursion dans la ville et découvrez de grandes attractions telles que l'amphithéâtre et l'Arc de Triomphe - généralement considérés comme deux des monuments les plus remarquables de leur époque en France. Admirez les frises commémorant les victoires de Jules-César sur les Gaulois en 49 av. J.-C. et écoutez votre guide vous faire revivre leurs histoires.
Un trajet panoramique vous conduira à travers les collines couvertes de vignobles de Châteauneuf-du-Pape et découvrez les nombreuses variétés de raisins cultivées dans la région. Dirigez-vous ensuite vers un domaine local en compagnie de votre guide et profitez d'une session de dégustation de certains excellents vins.
Après le déjeuner à votre guise (à vos frais), continuez votre trajet vers le Pont du Gard, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, l'un des plus beaux aqueducs romains survivants au monde. Visitez les Baux de Provence - un pittoresque village médiéval des Alpilles, généralement considéré comme le joyau de la couronne de Provence.
Visitez ensuite la région du Luberon pour admirer les magnifiques villages provençaux de Gordes et Roussillon, puis repartez vers votre hôtel d'Avignon, où votre excursion prendra fin.

Our guide 'AD' was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, he made the tour really interesting. He shared a great deal of historical knowledge and local information which complimented the spectacular sites and ensured the full day tour didn't drag. Well done AD.

This was a great way to see the best of Provence! There's no way we would have been able to see so much on our own. It was a long day but we got to rest a bit in the van between each stop. Our tour guide Dorean was great and made the day memorable with her commentary about the history, geography and other fun tidbits about each town we passed. My only complaint was the van- there were eight adults squished into the van's two front seats and two back benches, which proved a little annoying piling in and out at each stop. We got picked up second in the morning so our original seats were fine but along the way we switched with other couples so everyone had a chance to sit with each other/ to accommodate other people's medical needs bad knees/ backs. I wouldn't have minded this expect that the van was HOT in the back, which isn't great combined with the bumpy old roads and winding paths. Eventually Dorean figured out how to turn the air down lower and we felt better. 10/10 reccommend this trip to anyone wanting to see a little bit of everything during their Provence stay.

I enjoyed the tour - it was my first time in that part of France. This tour gave enough information to setup other activities in a region. You have to be prepared for a day long drive. We were in a mini van with 6 other people. I wish our driver setup certain rules at the beginning of the tour: like seating arrangements in a van: people change their seating after each stop so each gets to sit upfront for example. Other than that this tour met my expectations.

This was good. We saw a lot, and it was nice driving around the countryside. There was about an hours stop in each place - which was enough time but not lots of time to linger if you wanted to see everything! Orange was great - we spent the time here at the Roman theatre, which was really interesting it had an audioguide. I suspect you could get a train to Orange and do that by yourself, but it was easy doing it as part of the day. We saw Gordes from afar photo stop only but had about an hour in Rousillon. Rousillon was probably my favourite stop - you can do a half hour walk up close to the ochra coloured sandstone which I thought was well worth doing. We also stopped at Les Baux, I went into the castle ruins but perhaps it would have been as nice to have sat in a cafe. Again, it was an hours stop. We drove through St Remy and stopped at the hospital Van Gogh was in. Our final stop was Pont du Gard, which was really cool. You can go into the river here, so maybe wear shorts! The vineyard stop would have been fine, if I hadn't done it on one of their tours the day before. However, the guide walked into the little town with me instead and I did a cellar tasting instead. Its an easy way to see a lot of the region, and I enjoyed the free time in each place. It was well organised.

I would fully recommend this tour to anyone thinking about taking it. My sister and I enjoyed learning about the area from our very knowledgeable,enthusiastic,and friendly guide Nicolas. The day was spent with laughter and fun. If I had to I couldnt pick a favorite stop. Each place had its own special charm. Guide was knowledgeable, helpful etc. Experiences were high quality. WIne-tasting was early in morning but would be better later in day. The mini-bus was too small for 8 passengers all day long. My recommendation is - do not book this tour if the bus is going to be full.
