Stop At: Chinatown - Bangkok, Yaowarat Road Samphanthawong, Samphanthawong, Bangkok 10100 Thailand

You will meet your fellow foodies at 18:00 hrs with your guide at the subway exit number 4 of Hua Lamphong MRT Station, right in front of the Bangkok Center Hotel (transfer from your hotel to the MRT station is on own arrangement), which is nearby Yaowarat Road, Chinatown’s main road and paradise for local food aficionados. We kindly advise you to arrive before 18:00 hrs to start the tour on time. An early evening adventure commences with walking from this point towards 200-year old Bangkok’s Chinatown. A huge ceremonial Chinese gate draws visitors into a world of gold shops and purveyors of traditional Chinese health cures assures that you are on the right track. The array of sights and smells takes tourists to a bygone age in which glittering temples provide a backdrop to roadside bartering.

It is not long before we hit our first of seven local eateries, varying from kerbside street vendors to renowned Thai –Chinese dining establishments. There is much more than meets the eye and your guide will explain in detail the history, symbolism and culture aspects before another noodle shop or fruit salesman passes the venue. Landmarks and sights of a more religious theme are pointed out as you try to grasp the explosion of flavours of yet another example of deliciousness. Chinatown is alive and lives throughout the night, giving the people of Bangkok and visitors alike the chance to sample what makes Yaowarat such a vibrant and thriving centre of culinary delights. At around 21:30 hrs, we head back to the meeting point at Hua Lamphong MRT station where you will make you way back to your booked hotel.

This tour is operated both on private basis as well as on joint / Seat-In-Coach basis.
Joint tours are operated with an English-speaking guide only. Customers who book for the joined / Seat-in-Coach option are required to transfer on own arrangement to the start of the experience; no transfers are included.
Should you have booked a joint / Seat-In-Coach excursion, we are unable to communicate with you with accurate participation numbers, as these may change until the very last moment.
We will do all possible to comply with any dietary requirements during this excursion; it may not always be possible to confirm your wishes in advance based on the choice of local restaurant.
This excursion includes obstacles of various kinds that may not make this excursion suitable for wheelchair users. The obstacles comprise of unpaved roads, and insufficient facilities to provide a comfortable sightseeing tour. Part of this excursion includes walking over unpaved roads and paths. This may not suit guests with walking issues.
Bear in mind that such paths may turn slippery / muddy after a rain shower. We suggest wearing good walking shoes, preferred closed shoes, when booking this tour.
It is the responsibility of the customer to reach the meeting point for this excursion at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of this excursion. Failure to do so may result in missing the guide and the other participants.
Infants must sit on laps
This tour is not suitable for customers who are strict vegetarian, cannot eat pork and/or have allergies / are unable to consume oyster sauce, fish sauce or MSG; the localness of this tour prevents from preparing suitable alternatives.
Due to the nature of this tour, we regret to inform you that this excursion is not suitable for children under the age of 12. Families with children under this age may be denied participating based on the terms and conditions of this tour.
