You'll meet your guide at the start of the Gracia neighborhood, and start your journey into one of the city's most traditional neighborhoods with a bit of history about the area. Soon enough, you'll be whisked away to your first food tasting stop, where you'll taste a traditional Catalan breakfast item and learn about the Spanish eating schedule.

Perfect for both food and culture lovers, you'll continue the tour to a small independent delicatessen, where you'll learn about Spain's most famous food product (and of course, try some of the best ham too!).

The tour continues with a visit to one of Gracia's most well loved family run bars, where you'll try another delcious Catalan speciality, paired with a glass of cava, Catalonia's own sparkling wine. In between stops, you'll visit some of Gracia's most emblematic squares, where you'll learn a little more history about this beautiful part of town.

And by this time in the day, it's time for another drink! You'll enjoy Barcelona's signature beverage inside of one of the most authentic bars in all of the city. You'll truly feel like a local here. Learn about the Spanish tradition of tapas, and how people in Barcelona have a different way of going out for tapas.

Lastly, you'll head over to one of the city's mom and pop hole-in-the-wall places for some of the pillars of local Catalan cuisine before finishing off with something sweet (a local speciality!) for dessert.

We went on this tour on the morning of July 12. It was a very small group just us three and our guide, Victoria, so it was practically a private tour. We enjoyed ourselves, and Victoria had plenty of stories to tell about the background of the various food shops, traders and eateries. Overall we were very satisfied with the tour. Our only grouse was that at the end of the tour we asked her to recommend a good place for lunch all that walking worked up quite an appetite, and when we found the place, it didn't was somewhat disappointing it was more like a bar than a restaurant.

A 10. Renees knowledge of Catalunyan cuisine mixed in with hand-picked, family run restaurants was informative and intimate. English being her first language meshed well with Jamas journalistic background. He shared his knowledge of Catalunyas rich history and his love of his neighbourhoods we walked through. Their combined enthusiasm and knowledge made this tour choice enjoyable and memorable.
