Our tour guide Eric was French Canadian, his knowledge and expertise of the D Day landings was exceptional. He was clear concise and really aproachable. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. The itinerary was was well thought out and the 9 hour trip was excellent value. A big thanks to Eric for making this so enjoyable. Highly recommended Steve Mick and Andy, Manchester, England.

Eric was great--incredibly knowledgeable, witty and thoughtful. I knew a lot but Eric was far ahead of me--this was his life. Could not recommend more highly!

It was a great tour. Our tour guide was Sophie. She had a great deal of knowledge and managed to get us to the various spots before or after other tour groups so one didn’t feel overwhelmed with tourists. She was very personable and made a great experience for us. The tour is fascinating and sobering. There is not enough time (as Sophie mentioned) to visit all the museums or stay at the one museum we visited. If you are a WWll buff, best to stay an extra day and do the museums at your own pace. Highly, highly recommend this tour!

Alex was a fantastic guide! Kept a good pace, interactive, insight and facts that provided context and painted a picture that helped frame the D-day invasion. Ending at the cemetery and watched lowering of flag and Taps. Was the best tour I have been on!

The 75th Anniversary of Normandy and a tour with knowledgeable guides was incredible! Seeing, Hearing, Walking, Standing on Normandy beaches is difficult to describe. Touching the bunkers, visualizing the men struggling to reach shores. . . For our 18 year old Grandson, my wife and I history became real, current with a personal touch. An INCREDIBLE tour. STRONGLY recommended.

We met Alex with Gold Beach Company at Place de Quebec to begin our small group tour (6 people). Alex came prepared with visual aid maps laid out to explain the happenings of D-Day. He stopped at various spots to explain the movements of forces that day - Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Utah Beach, La Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and various other points of interest. We stopped for lunch at Utah Beach's Roosevelt Restaurant. Food was delicious. We saw back roads most tours don't see. Alex was an excellent guide and his knowledge of the history of D-Day was outstanding.

This was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Europe. Our Guide, Sophie was extremely well prepared and knew the history of D-Day. The tour tied up a lot of loose ends that history has overlooked. We visited most of the famous landing beaches as well as seeing several of the small towns that played a significant role in the invasion. We also got an introduction to the famous Hege Row country that created very high casualties due to the inability of our forces to see the enemy. This was a breath taking experience to see what the Allies faced and accomplished. One final note; the French people remember that effort and celebrate D-Day as Liberation Day. We really found the French people to be great hosts.

Our guide Sophie did such a wonderful tour for us, it was a really great day. She was very knowledgeable and took time for any and all questions. The way she scheduled our tour we were ahead of the large tour busses most of the time. She even timed our arrival at the American cemetery for the 5:00PM lowering of the flag and taps, wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend this tour and Sophie for your guide.

Not a great experience. The tour guide as lacking. While he may have known his stuff, he did not share much. There were long periods of silence and the major stops he left us on our own. Very little background info.

This all day trip was well worth the money and time spent. We were there the week of D-Day and everything was extra crowded but our guide, Alex, was great. With the group's consensus he altered the schedule to maximize our time and experience, throwing in some extra stops and stories along the way. While not a seasoned guide (first year), he did a great job and brought a passion and excitement, as well as a sense of humor, to the experience that we all appreciated. A very memorable and meaningful experience. It was nice with a group of only 8 people + the guide. Allowed for a lot of flexibility and personal interaction.

Sophie was an excellent guide. Her knowledge of not only the tour subject but also the reagion was unmatched. The tour of the D-day sites were indescribable to see in person. I HIGHLY recomennd this tour and request Sophie.

Our guide Alex met us promptly at the pick up point. Our departure was delayed because 4 scheduled guests did not show or call. We did not visit Arromanches (perhaps because of the delay?). Nonetheless our day was a totally worthwhile experience. Alex was an excellent guide. We do not have personal connections to D-Day sites nor are we historians but Alex made it all relatable. The itinerary was arranged in a way that we found ourselves on less travelled routes and were rarely in the path of other groups. Although most tours in this area visit the same sites, the value depends on your guide, their knowledge, demeanor and setting the pace. We especially appreciated arriving at the American Cemetery just in time for the 5 pm Flag Lowering and Taps, a solemn ending to an enriching day. Thank you for an informing and enjoyable visit to Normandy.

I highly recommend this trip. Our guide spoke English very well. She was very knowledgeable about all the sites. She went above and beyond to make the trip amazing.

Highly recommend this tour, and Eric our guide was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and passionate about D Day history and kept us entertained with witty and interesting conversation on other subjects as well. He even kept our 16 and 13 year old children interested over the whole day, which was a bonus! We are so glad we took this tour.

We really enjoyed our tour and Giselle was excellent as a guide. She made the experience so much better with her knowledge of the D-Day events. I would advise taking a guided tour as the roads are small and difficult to park. We did not go to Arromanches to see the remains Mulberry Harbor...perhaps just ran out of time. In my opinion, lunch was a little too long even though we had a reserved table at the restaurant. I would ask about the itinerary when you are picked up.

Giselle was a great tour guide, and gave us a nice mix of information, guided tour, and free time to explore sites. She put a larger context to the D-Day events, with history on WWI and WWII.

We did the full-day beaches tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was very thorough and detailed. I can't imagine cramming more information or sites into a single day. My one criticism concerns our guide's concluding remarks, during which she mentioned that many people in the villages who had to evacuate because of the fighting, and specifically the bombing, resented the destruction of their homes, and she rhetorically asked how we would feel about that had we been living there. This was offensive to people who lost loved ones and relatives who were involved in the fighting, trying to defend Europe and America against the Nazi invasion. They weren't bombing the villages for fun; the lives of Allies depended on such actions, and while it would have been lovely to keep everything in tact, people fighting and dying don't have the luxury of hindsight and rhetorical questions by a young a young woman who wasn't even alive during those times. Save the lectures for the faculty lounge.
