Profitez d'une journée loin de l'agitation de Bogotá en explorant la première merveille de la Colombie et l'histoire de la légende de « l'El Dorado ».
Depuis votre hébergement, comptez 1 heure de route jusqu'à Zipaquirá, qui abrite la légendaire cathédrale de sel.
En arrivant à Zipaquirá, votre aventure souterraine commence. Découvrez les réalisations architecturales de l'architecte Roswell Garavito Pearl originaire de Bogotá et apprenez-en davantage sur l'histoire de l'exploitation du sel en Colombie lors de la visite guidée en anglais ou en espagnol à travers la cathédrale de sel de Zipaquirá.
De retour dans la lumière, dégustez un repas typiquement colombien dans l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Zipaquirá. Profitez d'une assiette de viande ou de poisson préparée de façon traditionnelle ou choisissez l'option végétarienne.
Après le déjeuner, vous découvrirez la place de l'Indépendance et la place principale de Zipaquirá avec ses belles maisons coloniales et sa vieille église, et vous pourrez prendre quelques photos panoramiques de la ville. Après cette courte visite, vous continuerez jusqu'au lac de Guatavitá.
Lors d'une courte randonnée guidée en anglais ou en espagnol, vous profiterez du magnifique paysage et découvrirez le lieu de naissance de la légende de l'El Dorado, et vous découvrirez l'importance de la lagune pour les Indiens muiscas et son histoire.
Après avoir visité la lagune, vous vous rendrez à la pittoresque ville coloniale de Guatavitá.
Après avoir quitté Guatavitá, vous retournerez à Bogotá en vous arrêtant à notre dernière attraction, le point de vue de La Calera d'où vous pourrez prendre des photos panoramiques sur la capitale colombienne. Votre excursion se termine par un transfert vers l'hôtel de Bogotá.

Long day out to the north of Bogota which offers a range of experiences - geography, history, attractive townships and the famous salt cathedral - with a personal guide and driver.

Started my Colombia adventures with this magnificent excursion to the Salt Cathedral. It is not to be missed. Really a fabulous experience. Local lunch was good and gave you a feel for how the locals eat. And the hike up to the Lagoon will help you get rid of those calories that you consume while on vacation.

stunning day out. The walk up to the lake top was worth it as the lake looked amazing. The salt Cathedral was spectacular. the guide made the day and even helped make the Bogota traffic jams fly by. she was very knowledgeable and managed to answer most of my questions. If your in Bogota and can find a spare day do this tour

The tour to these sites was excellent! Booking online was easy. The local guide and driver arrived at my hotel on time to pick me up and take me out to the sites. The guide had great English and was very knowledgeable about the local area, the sites, the county and any other questions I could throw at her. She organized the logistics and local tours very well so there was no downtime waiting for certain tours etc to begin. I could not fault anything in regards to this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing some cool places outside of Bogota. It's a big day, but certainly worth cramming in both sites in the one day to maximize the travel time.

Andrea the guide was AMAZING! I don't give 5 stars easily, but she was just epic! And Andreas the driver was great also. It was a long day, and traffic home was congested, but not even that could deter from the day. The Salt Cathedral was so lovely - and the walk to see Lake Guatavita while more than I anticipated was still quite comfortable and well worth it. Because it wasn't raining in the morning we visited the lake first, which was good. Andrea gave me enough time to look around the other towns, and helped me get a few extra things. Definitely recommend this trip!!!

The trip was a wonderful way to spend our last day in Bogota. Our guide, Paola, was friendly and very informative. The lake was beautiful and customs and history of the indigenous people interesting. The salt cathedral was much more impressive than expected. Highly recommended.
