Vous serez pris en charge à votre hôtel de Boston le matin pour un trajet de 40 minutes vers Salem en autocar de luxe climatisé. Tout au long du trajet, votre guide vous donnera un aperçu historique de cette ville portuaire tristement célèbre pour les procès de ses sorcières.
Commencez votre aventure avec un arrêt sur la ville côtière de Marblehead, ville natale de la Marine américaine et du Corps des Marines des États-Unis. Visitez Abott Hall, un hôtel de ville et musée classé monument historique, où vous pourrez voir la célèbre œuvre d'Archibald M Willard : The Spirit of 76. Votre guide vous fera découvrir l'importance de cette peinture.
Continuez jusqu'à Salem, l'une des plus belles villes portuaires d'Amérique. Elle est connue pour les procès des sorcières de Salem qui ont eu lieu en 1692 et qui ont inspiré le célèbre libre d'Arthur Miller, The Crucible. Lors de votre découverte de la ville en autocar, vous en apprendrez plus sur l'histoire de ces procès à l'encontre de personnes accusées de sorcellerie à l'époque coloniale dans le Massachusetts.
Descendez sur Derby Street pour voir la maison au sept pignons et la Custom House, ancien lieu de travail de Nathaniel Hawthorne, un célèbre romancier né à Salem. Lorsque vous arriverez aux environs de Pickering Wharf, profitez de temps libre pour explorer les alentours et déjeuner où vous voulez. Vous découvrirez que cette ville abrite un mélange d'importants sites historiques, de magasins d'Halloween, d'attractions liées au thème des sorcières, de plus de 60 restaurants et cafés. Si vous le souhaitez, vous pourrez visiter le musée des sorcières de Salem (à vos frais).
Après votre visite de Salem, détendez-vous sur le trajet de retour vers votre hôtel de Boston.

The places we visited were great although getting there not so great. The ground staff were not very professional and the driver Tony quite frankly was dressed as if he was just going down to the grocery store! We boarded the 'so called' luxury coach to be told the air conditioning needed to be topped up and we had a choice of either wasting an hour whilst this was done and therefore losing time in Salem or going on another tour. This was our last day in Boston so this was not an option an we didn't want to be the only ones to say about the air conditioning so we stayed on the coach. The driver said it would be OK as it wasn't going to be very hot how wrong he was and also him and his boss had already decided that the coach was good to go so in reality we didn't really have a choice. I don't think guests who have paid for a tour should be put in this position the coach should not even have come out of the depot!

Love love love! Our bus driver Bob was GREAT! He knew a lot, quite knowledgeable.He gave us 5 hours to venture off on our own. So much history in this town. Happy I took the opportunity to join this tour. Bob is the best driver by far. Awesome sauce!!!!

Right before the second stop at the birthplace of the US navy the A/C broke down. So on the hottest day of the year with 40 plus people on a bus with no windows we rode 15 min to Salem. Apparently this same bus had the same issue yesterday according to a few passengers and the driver. At the drop off the driver, Bob, said he would get a new bus. However, after 5 hours Bob picked us up on the same bus, still with NO A/C. On the positive side Salem is an interesting day trip with lots of witch themed stores. The dungeon play was great. Bob’s stories tended to be about him and his family, but I didn’t think they were as bad as other reviewers. All in all, go to Salem for a day, but maybe skip this tour company.

OMG!!! Worst bus tour ever. Got on this bus at 9am and didn't get back till close to 8pm. This tour was supposed to only be 7 hours and ended up being 11 hours. We had to listen to Bob, the bus driver, go on and on about his life, his childhood, how he used to drive for a baseball team, every famous person he ever met, where he drove them to, what hotel they stayed at and all his favorite sports teams! I heard about everything, except what I came for. An actual tour about the history of Boston and Salem!!! He decided on the way back to drive to Chelsea, MA and take people to their hotel, then he stopped in East Boston to drop someone at their door, then drove someone else to the No Name Restaurant. This one hour ride back to town dragged on for three hours! For goodness sake, don't take this tour. It will be 11 hours of your life you will never get back!!!

BOB the tour guide was outstanding. He was so very nice and accommodating. On route to Salem, he took us out to Marblehead Neck which was so beautiful. His local perspective and historical knowledge made the trip better than expected. On the downside, Salem is super touristy and almost every site required a tour with set times for entry. This made it hard to see a lot in the short time afforded by the bus tour. Other than that, fun place to visit with interesting history.

Bob, our guide, was great! The Nathaniel Hawthorne House was very interesting and our guide provided us with lots of information concerning the site. The Salem Witch Museum and Dungeon seemed to be designed more for kids than adults.
