First of all, we bought our tickets online through Viator. As instructed I printed out the voucher with the bar code on it. When we got there we went to the level where you have your tickets scanned and they had us go back downstairs to wait in line and get the actual tickets. So we did that, but later in the day when we tried to go to one of the special exhibits, of which our tickets allowed one, we were told that the person who took our voucher did not realize that, so we had to pay again. Very inefficient and frustrating. We could have gone back down to the admission line again to sort it out, but we had our grandson with us and it was just too much hassle.
This is a great experience for an entire family. They had hands on activity and interactive venues for kids of all ages. If I return to Chicago I will be returning to complete the tour. Need to spend the entire day there.
what a wonderful trip the boys loved it. it was a lot different then what it was when I was there age.. most things were more expensive then I remember so we didn't get to do them
We did not know ahead of time that the submarine exhibit was entirely closed for "a special event". Very disappointing. Also many exhibits had additional costs. Not too impressed with this venue.
