À 9:00, commencez votre excursion d’une journée complète sur la rue la plus célèbre d’Édimbourg, le Royal Mile, où votre chauffeur-guide vous donnera un aperçu fascinant sur l’Édimbourg du passé. Sur votre chemin vers Stirling, vous entendrez l’histoire du véritable « Braveheart », William Wallace. Explorez l’un des plus grands et des plus importants châteaux d’Écosse, le château de Stirling (à vos frais) et profitez de vues incroyables depuis des créneaux du Monument Wallace. Si vous préférez, vous pouvez parcourir les rues historiques de la vieille ville de Stirling.

Ensuite, nous passerons vers le Duke’s Pass avec des vues saisissantes sur le parc national des Trossachs en chemin vers le plus romantique des lochs (lacs) écossais, le Loch Lomond, en apprenant tout sur ce qui a inspiré les chansons les plus célèbres et les plus appréciées de l’Écosse tout au long du trajet. Au Loch Lomond, qui fait partie du Parc national du Loch Lomond et des Trossachs, profitez des vues sur la grande étendue d’eau douce du Royaume-Uni. Admirez simplement la vue, ou profitez d’une promenade de détente sur les berges paisibles ou d’une courte randonnée jusqu’à Craigie Fort.

Notre dernier arrêt de la journée est à la distillerie de whisky Glengoyne. Goûtez à l’esprit même de l’Écosse alors que les guides expérimentés vous guident au long du lent processus de création de la boisson nationale écossaise (à vos frais). Si vous n’êtes pas amateur/amatrice de whisky, vous pouvez faire une balade jusqu’à la colline voisine de Dumgoyne et capturer des vues de la cascade nichée derrière la distillerie.

Perfect day out of Edinburgh. Great stops and Glengoyne is a wonderful small distillery to visit. Lots of information from our lovely tourguide John (or Lord John that he wanted us to call him:))

We really enjoyed seeing these interesting places. Tour guide was knowledgable and friendly. It’s a long day but well worth it. The only negative is we got rubbish seats on the bus. We arrived 20 minutes before tour left and were last of 16 people to board the bus. Which meant we had to sit at the back of the bus in a row of four which was a serious squash and meant we were all uncomfortable. The seats are child sized. We would definitely book again, but next time arrive an hour early and try to board bus in time to get either single or a pairs seat.

The driver (Rory) was great, told stories and made an extra stop at the bridges for photos. He kept us on track even though we had a couple stops take long.Sterling castle is less crowded than Edinburgh and we had plenty of time. Loch lomand is beautiful and the distillery was perfect!!

Overall the tour was ok, not not great. Sterling Castle visit was good with enough time. Couldn't get enough time at Loch Lomond for the usual Cruise through the Loch. Visit to Distillery was also good. The guide/driver was quite friendly but should have given more information about the various locations. He missed to give lots of information of major landmarks.

a very interesting day out from Edinburgh , are guide was very good , are first stop was the stunning Stirling castle , where we were given a free tour which was very interesting after a lunch break we were taken to see loch Lomond but my highlight of the tour was the Glengoyne distillery tour , it was the first time I had been to a whisky distillery , and was explained how the whisky is made starting from the barley grains, and also learnt the difference between blended and single malt also got try try some great whisky I would recommend this tour while in Edinburgh
