Pass By: Stirling Castle, Castle Esplanade Upper Castle Hill, Old Town, Stirling FK8 1EJ Scotland

Stirling Castle has been likened to ‘a huge brooch clasping Highlands and Lowlands together’.

From high on a volcanic outcrop, the castle guarded the lowest crossing point of the River Forth for centuries. Today it remains a great symbol of Scottish independence and national pride.

Stop At: Callander - Balquhidder Trail, Callander, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Scotland

Callander is a bustling tourist town situated on the River Teith, near Stirling, and is often described as the gateway to the Highlands.

The pretty town of Callander lies immediately south of the Highland Boundary Fault which is historically a meeting point between the Highlands and the Lowlands.

This holiday town is a popular base for tourists exploring the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and 'Rob Roy Country', or stopping off on their way up into the Highlands.

Set dramatically beneath high, wooded crags, the colourful town is crammed with teashops and souvenir shops. Callander gained fame as the location for the original Doctor Findlay's Casebook television series.

Stop At: Glencoe Visitor Centre, PH49 4HX Scotland

Located within the awe-inspiring Lochaber Geopark in the Highlands, the deep valley and towering mountains of Glen Coe were carved out centuries ago by icy glaciers and volcanic explosions.

Pass By: Rannoch Moor, Pitlochry Scotland

One of the last remaining wildernesses in Europe, the Great Moor of Rannoch is a beautiful outdoor space stretching far north and west from Rannoch Station.

The area is a vast stretch of land composed of blanket bog, lochans, rivers, and rocky outcrops which makes it a very challenging environment which still supports varieties of flora and fauna. A wealth of plants, insect, bird and animal life can be seen here ranging from curlews and grouse to roe and red deer.

Pass By: Ben Nevis, Fort William Scotland

Scotland's largest mountain was once a massive active volcano which exploded and collapsed inwards on itself millions of years ago.

Stop At: Fort Augustus Abbey, Fort Augustus Scotland

Enjoy Loch Ness from Fort Augustus. If you don't fancy cruising the Loch, you can stroll along the magnificent Caledonian Canal.

Stop At: Pitlochry Dam Power Station And Fish Ladder, Pitlochry Power Station Port-Na-Craig Rd, Pitlochry PH16 5BF Scotland

Breathe in fresh air and stand back to admire the view. Pitlochry is nestled amongst the stunning scenery of Highland Perthshire, where the refreshing greenery of the forests in spring transforms into a blaze of golds and reds come autumn.

The Pitlochry fish ladder is a fish ladder next to the Pitlochry Power Station on the River Tummel near Pitlochry, Perth and Kinross, Scotland that allows salmon to travel upstream during the breeding season.

Pass By: Forth Bridge, North Queensferry KY11 1HP Scotland

Before we enter Edinburgh you will view the three bridges that cross the Firth of Forth: the 19th Century Forth Rail bridge is Scotland’s greatest piece of engineering, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the 20th century ‘Forth Road Bridge’; as well as the 21st century ‘Queensferry Crossing’ which opened in 2017. Three spectacular bridges, from three different centuries span the Firth of Forth, connecting our Capital city and the Kingdom of Fife.
