Extremely knowledgeable with a wonderful sense of humor. Brought the old town section of Edinburgh alive.
Richard was an excellent professional guide. Tour was great and covered a lot of history and made Edinburgh more interesting. Answered all questions and had a lot of background. Great tour worth every penny.
This was a great walking tour of Edinburgh and got us off the Royal Mile and into the other important areas of town. Richard was our guide and told fascinating stories that you won't read in history books. I highly recommend this tour and it is limited to 10 people, so you will be able to keep up and hear everything!
Our guide took us around the town and gave some interesting and some fun information. A great overview of the key historic points.
Absolutely fantastic! Our three hour tour went by incredibly fast. We wish it was longer! The wit and knowledge of our tour guide, Richard, was a perfect combination for this amazing tour. You will not be disappointed after taking this tour. Thank you very much.
This was a really good experience to know the Edinburgh. Richard is a very professional and passionate guide, who not only provide you with both historical and modern information about the city, but also is interested in history of your own city / country! It's really more convenient to have a walking tour in small groups like we had - you are always in contact with the guide, can hear and catch the very single word! Let me thank Richard for the great tour again!
For our tour we had Richard the son and he was flexible, informative, and funny. We had such a lovely morning with the tour. This tour takes max 10 people which provides a perfect experience. We saw similar tours that had 40 people in the group.
Richard was our amazing guide. He was very engaging and entertaining, as well as very knowledgeable of Edinburgh's history, both the good and the bad.I highly recommend this tour!
Richard Usher gave a wonderful informative 3 hour tour with frequent stops for pictures. His knowledge of both old and new town, coupled with amusing historical stories made the tour that much more interesting. He interacted very well with our group and his light Scottish accent made for easy listening. Well worth the money! Marty G
By far the best thing we did in Edinburgh, also one of the best tours we have ever been on . A must do to give you a layout of the city
This was a great tour and walking through Edinburgh with such a knowledgeable local was fantastic.
Guide was informative and knowledgeable and gave an entertaining presentation. Definitely worth doing.
Took the tour this week by myself in a small group seven with Richard Usher who knows all things Edinburgh to a tremendous degree. He was educational, engaging and entertaining every step of the tour. He made the effort to make sure all the members of the group were introduced to each other and made sure to engage each of us throughout the tour. This is not a detailed tour into sites like the castle but, rather, a broad introduction to the city with lots of references to smaller parts of the city with historical references. There was a delightful stop midway for a drink and scone, if we wished at our expense, which was timely. This is a nonstop tour which climbs up and down steps and stairs. Probably not a good option for someone with physical challenges. This was a great introduction to this delightful city.
This was an amazing tour with a very knowledgeable guide. I had a lovely time. The company is run by a father and son team, and I had the son, we met his dad at one of the stops and he was just as nice with a very quick wit.
