Vous commencerez par couper les files d'attente à la Galleria dell'Accademia de Florence pour admirer le David de Michel-Ange, ainsi que sa série partiellement terminée les Esclaves, pour un aperçu de la manière dont il a transformé des roches déstructurées en de magnifiques sculptures réalistes. Vous entendrez aussi des histoires concernant Léonard de Vinci et la puissante famille Médicis, dont le patronage a fait de Florence l'un des terreaux pour l'art de la Renaissance dans le monde.

Vous vous dirigerez ensuite vers une autre structure de pierre qui a changé l'histoire du monde - le Duomo de Florence. Pendant que vous admirerez le dôme de l'extérieur, vous entendrez l'histoire de comment son architecte Brunelleschi a retrouvé des connaissances perdues et repoussé les limites de ce qui était considéré comme humainement possible tout en construisant le bâtiment.

Après le Duomo vous arpenterez les rues pour voir davantage de Florence et de ses principaux sites, y compris le Palazzo Vecchio, les statues de l'église Orsanmichele, la Pizza della Repubblica et la Piazza della Signoria, le cochon Porcellino (frotter son nez vous portera bonheur !) et bien sûr, le pont le plus pittoresque d'Italie, le Ponte Vecchio.

Pendant que vous marcherez, les sites prendront vie avec les histoires racontées par votre guide anglophone. Dans un groupe intime de 15 personnes ou moins, vous aurez suffisamment de temps pour poser des questions et en apprendre plus sur l'incroyable histoire de cette ville dans sa totalité.

Our guide (Laura) was superb! Her deep knowledge of Florence, it's art, it's culture and architecture was truly amazing! ! She had a fun nature about her and we truly enjoyed the time we spent with her even though the day was raining - it was fun for all. Highly recommended.

Amazing! Our guide Charles was very knowledgeable and informative! He brought David to life and shared interesting tidbits of Michaelangelo and Florence! It was very hot (100 degrees) and he looked for shade to view the sites as we walked around. Great way to get acquanted with Florence. Thanks Charles!

This is an awesome tour to get to see the highlights of Florence if you only have limited time. The statue of David was AMAZING, walking the streets and understanding the history was very intriguing, and inside the Duomo is very beautiful.

Tour of LAccademia with focus on David and works by Michelangelo was amazing. Tour guide was brilliant on David and the politics of sculpture. Lot of rest of the tour was lost due to excessive detail. Would prefer focus on sculptures, not so much Duomo which I got on other tours. Brilliant tour for enlightened thinkers. I should have brought a notebook with me as I loved contextualization of Ghiberti, Brunelleschi and in particular Michelangelo. I would take this tour again! Maybe in less heat!

Tour guide was very informative, and showed us a lot in the museum, church, and surrounding area. Skip the line is great, especially on hot day. Tours like this are really useful especially for first time visitors like us.

We recently spent 3 days in Florence as part of our tour of Italy. "David" was a must see. There was no time to waste by standing in long waiting lines for hours. Eritza was our guide and she brought humor and relateability to our tour. It is a great overview of Florence so you can figure out where you want to explore on your own. The tour is totally worth it to skip the line at the Academia to see the Statue of David, and maximize your time, plus you learn things about the statue you wouldnt know seeing it on your own. I highly recommend it, plus our guide gave us a terrific restaurant recommendation on the south side of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge to see that section of Florence, and have a great meal with the locals!
