1) guide was walking way too fast to keep the group together. She didn’t even look back to make sure everyone was together. We had to tell her she needed to keep us together. She gave a roll of the eyes. 2) We expected to go to a bar or restaurant for the tasting, but it was just an abandoned workshop. 3) Would have liked to have had a little more creative bruschetta than provides. 4) guide was knowledgeable. A lot of walking, but very little discussion regarding the town, walk, etc while walking, at least not with the whole group. 5) Wines were good and portions were generous.
We really enjoyed our nighttime walk around Florence with Giorno. We had lots of fun, saw lots of sites, and enjoyed trying a few new wines.
Fun walking tour across the Ponte de Vecchio. Guide was informative. Wine and snacks were tasty! Lots of walking. Recommend!
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Sara, was a local winemaker from many generations back and this personal connection made the tour that much more memorable. Loved Sara's dry humor, it added to the outrageous historical stories of the families who inhabited and built Florence. We learned about Chianti wines and the varietal differences that we've already used back home when ordering in restaurants! This is a very low key walking tour but it's perfect for that reason. Small group was key, and also a very gracious and interesting host!
Totally recommend for your first night in town! Learned of some local hidden gems, history of Italian wine along with some history lessons along the way. What more do you need? The length of the event was perfect and recommend to anyone visiting Florence!
Lots of fun. Easy to find the meeting point and a great way to find out some interesting facts around parts of the city you may not visit. It was also nice to meet with other travellers from all over the world and enjoy a few drinks. It was great fun. Harry and Kerry Williams
This tour was a good way to see and learn about different parts of the city. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! The wine was good, although we did not get to try food at the first place as it was too busy due to a Liberation Day celebration. The second place we stopped was awesome. The food and wine were great there! Overall, a really good experience that we recommend for a fun evening out!
