Rendez-vous sur Saddle Road, dans un minibus Mercedes de luxe entre les plus grands volcans du monde (Mauna Kea et Mauna Loa), et faites une courte halte à Mauna Kea State Park pour un déjeuner gourmet léger. De là, nous vous voyagerez à travers Saddle vers Hilo, où nous visiterons les Rainbow Falls et la statue du roi Kamehameha. Notre prochaine étape est à Big Island Candies pour smoothies, crème glacée, et échantillons gratuits de leurs célèbres cookies. Ensuite, nous nous rendrons directement à l’un des volcans les plus actifs au monde : le volcan Kilauea dans Hawaï Volcanoes National Park.

Au parc national de Kilauea, les guides Kailani expérimentés vous montreront les incroyables paysages, y compris : les cheminées de vapeur, le panache de fumée du cratère Halemaumau’s, la vue sur le musée Jaggar du Kilauea et le tube de lave Thurston. Juste avant le coucher du soleil, nous vous offrirons un circuit tout compris, dîner dans le meilleur restaurant des volcans - Kilauea Lodge ! Choisissez parmi trois entrées, pain, soupes, salades, et une boisson de votre choix. Après le dîner, nous vous conduirons au musée Jaggar, le meilleur point de vue nocturne pour admirer la lueur du cratère Halemaumau ! Enfin, laissez-nous vous conduire au cours du trajet de retour au-dessus de Saddle Road pour vous ramener à votre hôtel. Selon les conditions météorologiques, le guide pourra vous arrêter brièvement pour admirer le ciel étoilé le long de Saddle Road.

Aaron was a bery knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. The tour visited many interesting sites including waterfalls and lava glows. There were only 11 of us on the 14 seater minivan which made it more intimate. The van was very comfortable and clean.

This is a good tour, but the website description is inaccurate. The park is currently closed indefinitely and the Jaggar museum has actually been destroyed by the volcano and may never reopen. Still a good way to see the big island, but be aware that you'll spend most of your time driving around and the closest you'll get to the volcano is about a half mile away. That said, our tour guide was excellent, the van was comfy, and the food was decent.

Great trip. If you want to spend an enjoyable day learning about volcanos and the Bid Island, all while someone else does the driving, this is a trip worth every penny. Tour picked us up at Kohala resort. They were going to be a few minutes late due to another pick-up, but called us and informed us - very much appreciated. Vehicle was comfortable and clean. Our tour guide was Zane Smith who happens to be a PHD Geologist with a passion for the volcanos and a dynamic, engaging personality. If you take this trip, ask for Zane. The evening meal at local restaurant in Volcano was excellent and also a highlight of the trip. Enjoyed the brief stop at Big Island Candies as well. If you want to experience volcano visit without the long hike to live lava flows, this trip is the way to go.

Absolutely amazing day. We were extremely lucky to have Jim Carey as our guide who was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining throughout the day and made sure we all had a great time. We would definitely recommend doing this tour and if we are lucky enough to come back to the Big Island would not hesitate to do it again.

This was well worth the time and money. Our guide, Kevin, was excellent. He knew the island history, places for the best views and kept everyone entertained and involved. We would highly recommend this tour.
