L'excursion d'une journée à Athènes commence par un arrêt-photo au stade Panathinaiko, où les premiers Jeux olympiques ont eu lieu en 1896. L'excursion continue en passant par Zappéion et le temple de Zeus Olympien. Vous passerez ensuite par la trilogie d'Athènes qui comprend l'Université d'Athènes, l'Académie d'Athènes et la Bibliothèque Nationale. Continuez en passant par le jardin national, l'Arc d'Hadrien, l'église Saint Paul, le parlement, la tombe du soldat inconnu, la maison de Schliemann (Musée numismatique), la cathédrale catholique, l'ancien parlement, la place de la Constitution, l'église orthodoxe russe, et enfin l'Acropole.

Poursuivez cette excursion guidée d'une journée à Athènes et au musée de l'Acropole par une courte et agréable balade en passant par l'odéon d'Hérode Atticus et le théâtre de Dionysos, afin de visiter le musée de l'Acropole. Évitez les files d'attente du nouveau musée grâce au billet coupe-file. Les principales attractions telles que des cierges, les Caryatides, et, bien sûr, l'entrée du Parthénon avec les métopes, les frontons et la frise vous impressionneront.

Après une matinée de visite pleine d'images, continuez dans un restaurant local sous les pentes de l'Acropole pour le déjeuner. Après le déjeuner, partez pour un merveilleux périple le long de la route côtière panoramique qui offre une vue splendide sur le golfe Saronique, en passant par quelques-unes des plus belles banlieues d'Athènes (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) jusqu'au cap Sounion. Le cap Sounion se trouve à 70 kilomètres d'Athènes, ce qui en fait la destination idéale pour passer un après-midi de détente. Le temple de Poséidon du cap est perché sur une colline rocheuse surplombant la mer. La vue sur la mer Égée y est splendide avec une des vues panoramiques les plus époustouflantes et, par temps clair, elle s'étend jusqu'à l'île de Kéa et au Péloponnèse. Le temple de Poséidon fût construit en 44 av. J.-C. et bon nombre de ses colonnes doriques d'origine sont encore debout. L'une de ces colonnes comporte un graffiti gravé par l'illustre Lord Byron au début du XIXe siècle. Le précipice est une falaise abrupte se jetant de 60 mètres dans la mer.

We thought this tour was extremely enlightening and included so much important history, but we were not happy with the organization of the tour. There was too much confusion in organizing the various buses that had picked up people going to numerous tours and it took almost 30 minutes to get everybody to the correct bus and on our way. It would have been much smarter to just ask people to raise hands going on one tour and direct them to their bus or just have people meet at appropriate place. We ended have a much later day because of the mass confusion

We really enjoyed the tour and our guide was amazing he knew everything and he was lovely and polite . Acropolis was very crowded and many people slipping over . Our guide managed to keep us all together . The lunch was really nice all we had to buy was the wine and beer . I highly recommend the tour

This was a very good tour for learning so much about Greek culture and history. Our Guide, Stavros, has encyclopedic knowledge, and showed a great love and passion for his country. The early was good because we arrived at the Acropolis before the major crowds, (it was still extremely busy nevertheless, but was obviously becoming more so as we were leaving). Lunch was good - not just a buffet or set menu, like some other tours I've been on, but with main course choices.) The drive out to the Temple of Poseidon was picturesque along the coast and provided a welcome chance to "chill".

We spent most of the tour on a bus. We could not hear the tour guide. They did not pass out audio sets. They tried to overcharge us for the tickets, which was a surprise. We were overcharged for the tour. The people in the office had a bad attitude. The afternoon portion was almost a complete waste. The description of the tour was completely inaccurate. I very much regret doing this tour.

Hi folks I would get a different tour group other than key tours for this. Logistics were awful constantly waiting, guide constantly on the phone, waiting for people for over 30 minutes Who don’t pay attention to the guide. It really makes it for an arduous day, with guide making The entire group wait for people. The guy did not have tickets for entry before hand from people, so you had to wait for the tickets, lots of confusion as they sorted out people for different buses. Also I feel as if the information from the tour guide focuses mostly on mythology and is not based on facts. Wouldn’t do it again.

The wait and bus transfers start from the early morning and continues after lunch. A knowledgeable guide Dimitri, but probably providing too much details without a clear and punchy delivery. Lunch was ridiculous, where restaurant even want to charge eur1.50 for olive oil for the bread! Terrible service, please remove the restaurant from the tour!

Great tour. Only drawback was excessive amount of waiting at offices of Key Tours. Also the change of busses from morning to afternoon was okay but should have been explained earlier in the morning part of the tour.

What a full day of fun, adventure, and experiences! This full day tour really covered so many spots in Athens that we would not have seen otherwise! If you like history and your time in Athens is limited jump on this tour for sure! You spend the whole day seeing so many different things! The tour guide was very informative and nice to the group. She made sure we were feeling okay and were enjoying our time and understand everything she was saying the whole time. The bus was very comfortable as well. Would DEFINITELY recommend this tour!

Our tour guide was Anatasia. Very nice, very patient and very informative. We learned so much and everything was a suitable pace for us. We did the lunch and it was very delicious and portions were large!

This was a long hot day but the guide was excellent and we were able to see what we wanted to see. The museum was fascinating and gave our visit to the Acropolis context.
