A propos de cette activités
The Ring of Kerry is without doubt one the most scenic drives in the country. 'The Ring' begins in Killarney a tourist town voted one of the number one destinations to visit in Ireland. You'll head out on a drive from Killarney in a anticlockwise direction. There is an unwritten rule that everyone goes anticlockwise in case of meeting any buses because the roads do get very tight. Along this drive, there are many towns you'll pass through and you may want to stop for a visit. All of the towns have a story to tell and are famed for there color and cleanliness.

The first town on the ring is Killorglin, home to ‘The Puck Fair,’ the oldest pagan festival in Ireland. During the fair, a male goat is hoisted 40 feet up in the air on a platform and he becomes ‘King’ of the town for 3 days and to celebrate everyone goes to drink beer! There is a very good reason for this celebration which you will will learn on this tour. From here, you'll enjoy the drive drive along the Atlantic Ocean coastline and stop for pictures by The River Caragh where you can look out across the ocean to view Dingle Bay. Next, is the town of Cahersiveen, birth place of Daniel O'Connell. Your driver/guide will share information about this important man in Irish history. You'll make your way to the seaside town of Waterville where Charlie Chaplin spent many holidays. At the top of ‘Comnakiste,' you'll enjoy beautiful views across the Beara Peninsula. Driving down into into Sneem, you'll be in ‘the knot’ of the Ring of Kerry. You will drive through the ‘Country Park of Killarney’ and up to ‘Molls Gap’ where you will encounter the ‘Macgillycuddy Reeks’ mountain range and to the left of you rises ‘Carrauntoohil,’ the tallest mountain in Ireland.

Continuing the drive, visit ‘Ladies View,’ named after a visit from Queen Victoria. This is the first time you'll witness the three beautiful Lakes of Killarney. Heading down the winding road through the stunning Country Park, which is both a wooded and rocky terrain, you'll arrive at the end at ‘Torc Waterfall’ nestled in the wood rising to a height of 60 feet (18 meters). At the end of the drive, you will return to Killarney where you can enjoy the rest of your evening.

Tony, our driver, was fabulous. So knowledgeable and funny. Made everybody’s day wonderful. Tony was able to show us a few extras with the beautiful weather. He was flexible and listened to our preferences. Great tour!!!

Wonderful experience! Tony Murphy went out of his way to insure we had a memorable experience. It was cloudy, overcast ,rainy but he still made it a lot of fun and we saw a lot despite the weather. We especially enjoyed Skellig Michel. Would recommend to anyone.

What a great day this was!! The communication on meeting location and everything was top notch. Our driver, Tony, was early and greeted us as if we were long lost friends. He made us feel comfortable and at ease right from the start and went into an overview of the days activities. He had a great story for every city and area, although there might have been a wee bit of Blarney in some of them. I was exceptionally glad he was driving as the roads are narrow and they drive on the wrong side of the road, at least for me. In the almost nine hour tour he gave us history, explanations, stories, and a quick wit and smile. If we had driven it ourselves we would have missed so many things such as the chocolate factory, with free tastings, the ice cream in Sneem, the old man with the goat in Sneem, and so many other things that I cannot list them all. Of all the tours and places we went in Ireland, this is by far the best day we had there. This is a must tour. And ask for Tony, you will not be sorry. George from Texas

Munsterbus, Tony Murphy provided us with a wonderful private tour of the Ring. We were treated to some wonderful countryside because of the routes Tony chose... no 'buses /crowds' to contend with. I would highly recommend this tour! Booking through Viator was convenient and I appreciated the ability to speak to a representative to clarify a questions.
