Commencez votre expérience avec un transfert depuis votre hôtel à l'heure de départ qui vous intéresse. Ensuite, installez-vous dans votre voiture privée avec chauffeur et rendez-vous directement à Auschwitz-Birkenau, à l'extérieur de la ville d'Oświęcim sans arrêt pour prendre en charge d'autres passagers.
Après environ une heure et demie, vous arriverez au centre d'accueil et d'informations des visiteurs. Ici, quittez votre chauffeur privé et partez pour une visite guidée en groupe du site classé au patrimoine de l'UNESCO.
Franchissez les portes de l'enceinte sous l'effrayante inscription « Arbeit macht frei » ou « le travail vous rend libre », et apprenez comment le camp de concentration nazi a été fondé en 1940 pour les prisonniers polonais, avant de devenir un camp d'extermination pour les Juifs d'Europe et autres groupes « anti-sociaux ».
Découvrez comment ce changement a étendu Auschwitz pour inclure Birkenau, créant le camp qui allait prendre les vies d’environ 1 million cent mille personnes. Partez à la découverte des principaux édifices - certains toujours intacts et certains en ruines - et découvrez les expositions spéciales qui dressent de tous ceux qui ont été emprisonnés ici.
Allez voir les crématoriums et les chambres à gaz, et contemplez les miradors et casernes de Birkenau alors que vous apprenez comment le camp a été dirigé et gardé. Alors que les faits historiques sont pénibles à entendre, votre guide vous fera découvrir tout cela dans une atmosphère sensible et avec considération.
Faites une pause dans votre exploration pour visiter le mémorial des victimes du camp et prendre quelques instants en mémoire de celles et ceux qui ont été détenus ici il n'y a pas si longtemps.
Lors de votre visite, il y aura une petite pause pour déjeuner. Il n'y a pas de restauration prévue à Auschwitz-Birkenau, veuillez apporter vos propres rafraîchissements pour la journée.
Ensuite, quittez votre groupe et retrouvez votre chauffeur et votre voiture. Ensuite, vous retournerez directement à votre hôte de Cracovie, où le circuit se termine.

This was a truly moving and emotional experience. Our driver Michael, while not the tour guide, was very informative. A very smart guy who share his experiences, videos and asked us questions too. We chatted with him both ways from Krakow and back. We thank Michael for his insights and conversation and his love for Poland and teaching us about Poland. Thanks, Michael.

The tour is quite shattering, so be emotionally and physically prepared. Don't plan much that night and don't go alone. The tour guide was just fantastic. Deeply knowledgeable and you could tell that what she was telling us just scratched the surface of the story. Because of the tour, I bought several books at the bookstore and, less than 24-hours later, I have already finished one. Reading these histories is completely different when the narrator refers to a place or a building, and you have been there. There is a lot of walking, so wear good shoes. It was probably the most meaningful tour I have ever been on. We used the private transport, and our driver was also just excellent. He provided history as we drove, and yet also knew exactly when we needed to contemplate in quiet. He also suggested other tours which we booked immediately based on this experience.

Wasn't looking forward to this trip, but so glad I went. Its important that we see and hear what happened, so it doesn't happen again. We were meet on time from out hotel in a comfortable minivan. On route he showed us a film which set the mood of the visit and prepared us emotionally as to what to expect. This trip has lots of walking especially when you visit Birkenau, so be warned. Little time between Auschwitz and Birkenau visits so maybe bring food and drink with you. There are cafes in Auschwitz but depending on when you go could have queues.

I had hired a private driver to take a friend and myself on this tour. Dominic was professional, helpful and considerate. During our 90 minute drive to Auschwitz-Birkenau, we were shown a video in the car. It was extremely helpful in giving me more information about what I was to see upon arrival. Upon the end of the tour at Birkenau, Dominic was waiting for us.This is a tour everyone should take. The nations of the world need to work together so the horrors that happened at these camps never, never, happens again. There are no words to express the complete devastation, inhumanity that I witnessed while touring the remains of these sites. Photos will never do it justice.
