The guide was awesome and we got to do all of the activities, she timed it perfectly. Taking us to the national park early before it got so crowded. I enjoyed Lake Blend, the caves and Castle. Everyone loved all the pictures. My favorite tour on my trip.

Highly recommend this trip. Be prepared to walk a lot. Brilliant trip whether you have time or not. Not much free time though.

We booked last minute and ended up being the only passengers. It became a private tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us enough time to explore all of the sights in our itinerary. He even became our personal photographer! Start early and prepare for a whole day of tour around Slovenia.

The sights were all spectacular and lovely but we did feel very rushed. It was a lot of walking in a short time period. I would recommend slowing down the pace so it can really be enjoyed. I know it would be hard to eliminate one of the highlights but it is almost too much for one day!

The tour had some true highlights and the country is beautiful. Postojna and Predjama in particular were stunning. Pick-up was a little delayed as the driver lived an hour away from Ljubljana so got caught in traffic and then we got slightly lost finding another pick-up location so did feel a little rushed at first but we still had ample time at most locations. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable but did require some questions and prompting to start sharing stories and history. Lunch and cake break was combined so be prepared for a long day without many opportunities for food as mentioned in other reviews. Small group size (we had 6) was a plus as well.

the guide didnt allow enough time to explore the bled castle as we made unneccessary stop at the market to cater to just one tourist passenger at cost of the other 9 people on the tour. also the tour guide didnt include a lunch break for a full 8hrs or so tour, when we asked her the driver/guide to make as stop at gas station as we were starving, and she got mad at us. it could have been a pleasant tour only if the guide was hospitable and considerate enough to majority of the tour passenger

Pick-up in the morning at 7:45 was smooth. By 8 am, we were on the way to Bled. There were just 4 of us, and so it was a nice small group, and it was pleasant and easy to chat and make new friends. A great walk through breathtaking Vintgar Gorge an easy 2km hike through the gorge with amazing views of waterfalls and a green to white-water river. Our guide, Alinka, planned it in such a way that we only had to go one direction. As it was also early enough, we avoided the crowds and also went counter the usual flow. Lake Bled followed, and we first did a pletna/covered boat ride to the island in the middle of the lake, which was so peaceful. We had 45 minutes to explore the tiny Bled Island----enough time to climb up the island, check the viewing tower, and even walk around the island through the greenery and check out the fish, which you could see in the clear waters. Once we were back on the mainland, we had the option to either go up a free viewpoint, go up Bled castle and pay an extra fee, or spend an hour in town on our own. One decided to go see the view higher up, so we dropped him off there, and the rest of us had lunch. I reckon, one can also use this to go for a swim over in Lake Bled if they wanted. After lunch and a bit of shopping in Bled town proper, we were off down south to Predjama castle. We had an hour to explore Predjama castle and see all the rooms, as well as take pictures. By 330 pm, we were off to nearby Postojna caves. This experience was incredible and a must for anyone visiting Slovenia. The cave system was just so magnificent----you start with an exciting train ride deep into the mountain, and then have a guided walk through the system aged more than 500,000 years. After that hike, we had time for some shopping and a snack over at the area around the attraction. Soon enough, we were headed back to Ljubljana and were back in town at an early 18:30. We traveled in the first week of September, and our guide said this was excellent, as the summer crowds were gone. We were lucky to have a cool, but sunny day, as you'll see in some of my pictures. So, early Sept is excellent to avoid the big tour groups, for sure. Either way, these places in Slovenia are still yet to be discovered by the big crowds, so make sure you visit them ASAP! Alinka was very pleasant and had much to say about the sites, as well as Slovenia and the Slovenian way of life. The tour was generally flexible if you told her what you wanted to do/see in some of the places, and despite having seen many things, it was an easy and relaxed trip. I was surprised we got to see so much in a carefree manner. It was also great that all entrance fees, and the boat free were included. Truly a great value for the money. I recommend this trip and commend Alinka for our tour. I'll likely bring over friends and family back to Slovenia in the future and take this tour and other tours from this company Nature Adventures, Based in Bled all over again.
