Tolède est une ville située à 70 km au sud de Madrid et a été classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1986 pour son vaste patrimoine culturel et monumental et la coexistence historique des cultures chrétienne, musulmane et juive. Tolède est connue comme la cité impériale pour avoir été le principal lieu de la cour de Charles Ier, et la « Cité des trois cultures », après avoir été influencée par une coexistence historique des chrétiens, musulmans et juifs. Elle possède une histoire dans la production d’armes blanches, qui sont aujourd'hui de populaires souvenirs de la ville et elle était également le lieu d'importants événements historiques tels que les conseils wisigoths de Tolède.

À votre arrivée, nous commençons par une balade panoramique de la vieille ville pour visiter l'intérieur de la monumentale Cathédrale Primatiale, un magnifique exemple du style gothique, et plus tard à travers le vieux quartier juif, avec ses étroites ruelles pour visiter l'Église de Saint Tomé, avec le très célèbre tableau de El Greco « l'Enterrement du comte Orgaz », l'ancienne synagogue de Ste. Maria la Blanca qui reste un symbole de la coexistence des « Trois Cultures », le monastère San Juan de los Reyes et la mosquée Cristo de la Luz. L’excursion prendra fin avec une visite panoramique en bus autour de la banlieue avec une courte escale pour admirer la vue depuis l'autre côté de la rivière et prendre des photos. Nous visiterons également une fabrique typique de Damasquino, un endroit de Tolède bien connu pour son art artisanal.

The tour was very rich, much places to visit, Toledo is a very beautiful town with so much to know about, but actual most of the historical information was unclear at all since our tour guide English language was completely unclear, and he was explaining in Spanish language a lot and when come to English he speaks in brief, I think it’s better if tour guis was assigned to group of same language better.

Amelia was fabulous! We so enjoyed the tour of Toledo. I would highly recommend doing the full day tour as after lunch is when it gets really interesting...

First off, you must do the Full Day tour. Otherwise you will miss out on a lot. The first half of the tour is just okay until you get to the bridge. Then it gets good. The second half is typically less crowded and you get to go inside some beautiful buildings. I would give the first half a 2 star and the second half a four star.

This trip to Toledo was rather confusing as all passengers participating in half day, full day, self guided, full day with lunch or without, travelled on the same bus and it took us and others some time to work out where we were supposed to be and when. The tour guide spoke predominantly in Spanish and it took her till after lunch to realise that there were very few Spanish speaking people on the tour and that the majority spoke English. We also found her unapproachable as when we asked her questions about some of the sites we were ignored as she was in a hurry to move on to the next site. If you did the full day tour you were introduced to a magnificent array of Toledo's historic sites and buildings. If you only did the half day tour I think you would have been disappointed in what you saw. We particularly enjoyed the Cathedral visit after lunch and the walk through the old city and across the Bridge of San Martin where we boarded the bus again for amazing views up the hill.

Didn't like bilingual tour. FYI: there are enough English speaking tourists and the tour can be done only in one language.

A long day but well worth choosing the full day option as there is so much to see. The guide had an excellent sense of humour and made the day fun. Toledo is a must see, quite fantastic.

This was a terrible tour guide. She failed to introduce herself. She allowed the bus to leave the restaurant after lunch leaving behind three of the tour group. We returned for them and had to wait 30 minutes before everyone was accounted for. Her presentation was poor and included inaccurate information. What year was Isable and Ferdinand married? 1411 This city and tour had so much potential and it was wasted because of the unenthusiastic presenter.
