Definitely worth your time, and great value for the money as well! My partner and I had our trek cut short by my partner's illness, unfortunately, but not before experiencing enough to be extremely grateful that we came! We are also extremely grateful to our guide, Mohammed Ali, and to the program owner for doing everything they could to accommodate my partner. We started with a camel ride, before driving up into the Atlas to meet Mohammed Ali. He took us on a morning trek, after which we had lunch. Had my partner not been sick, we would have then explored the area that afternoon, stayed at an inn in town, and then hiked to a new town on the next two days. The accommodations were remarkably comfortable – we stayed in a huge, beautifully decorated room with a large bathroom (with shower), wifi, and 3 luxurious beds. We were waited on at every meal, and the staff were incredibly kind and generous. I read negative reviews before I went which led me to expect a dirty, dingy room – nothing could be further from the case! The hotel is still under construction, and likely to get nicer each year. It's not the Hilton, but it's the most luxurious trekking I've ever experienced! Since some other travelers seem to have had negative experiences, here's my recommendations for getting the most out of your Atlas Mountains trek: 1. Be flexible. We got almost no details of our itinerary before the trip, and the host isn't the fastest at answering email. If you're ready to trust them (and they are trustworthy) and go with the flow, it will all work out. 2. Be assertive about what you want! The flip side of #1 is that tour can also be incredibly flexible with you! Don't be afraid to ask direct questions, to propose changes to the itinerary, or even to ask for a change of guides. We found that everyone working on the tour was very willing to accommodate. 3. Make sure that you're ready. They are flexible enough to accommodate a wide variety of fitness levels, but no matter what, you will be walking on unpaved roads at high altitude. You don't need to be a hardcore hiker or even a hiker at all, necessarily, but you do need to be able to walk for several hours straight. (On the other hand, if you want a hardcore trek, just ask for Mohammed Ali; he may be the fittest human I have ever met!) The company has ~60 staff and many don't speak much English. You can get by with just English with your guide, but it helps to know some French or Spanish or, better yet, Arabic.

This trip is an excellent way to experience Morocco. As others have mentioned, we had a hard time contacting them before our trip to confirm pickup. But the best way to reach them wash through WhatsApp. Our guide, Mohamed, was very considerate, flexible, kind and confident. We greatly appreciated his careful guidance. Imlil has a kind and welcoming feel (much calmer than Marrakesh). My recommendation is to only spend a couple days in Marrakesh then come directly on this trip! Food was excellent, the views are incredible and Mohamed is the BEST.

Just last week I had a brilliant time trekking around Imlil valley. My guide Mustafa was very informative, friendly and also was good fun to talk to while walking. The food throughout was delicious and the accommodation great. There wasn't much trekking the first day but the two following days were amazing!

He had a very interesting trip for 3 days at the Atlas mountain. The whole experience was pretty well organized, and the route offers great views, is interesting and as demanding as it should. Abdel was an excellent tour guide, friendly original and it was a joy watching him interact with the locals. Our trip had quite a bit of rain and you need to be prepared for this scenario and also the cold during night can be a bit challenging but with a spring jacket and some extra clothing you will be good until mid October.. One thing I have to notice is that meals for lunch are extras and all meals are cooked from the guides almost in front of you.

The trip to the mountains and Berber villages was excellent. It had breathtaking views. The guide was very caring and we felt safe during the hike. We went there at the beginning of February: the days were warm, but the night times were quite cold below zero celsius. The trip gave us a good local life experience: we visited households in different villages and had the best home-made food during our stay in Morocco. Take good trekking/sports shoes to the hike, as the climbs can be quite challenging and a little slippery especially with bad footwear. All in all we would do it again anytime.

Our guide Mustafa was probably the funniest and warmest man we've ever met. He struck the perfect balance between a challenging trek and a relaxing tour around the Berber villages of the Atlas Mountains. There were many stops with Moroccan tea, and we were able to meet the local people. It was also nice meeting other tourists on the same tour there were 2 others trekking with the two of us and on other treks. We spent one night in a guest house and there were about 15 of us dining together, singing songs and sharing tagines. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is up for a challenging, longer hike with beautiful views and friendly tour guides.
