Au départ de Milan (gare centrale), prenez le train pour Varenna (env. 1 heure), un charmant petit village sur le lac de Côme juste en face de Bellagio, un autre « trésor » renommé du lac. Votre guide vous retrouvera à votre arrivée et vous profiterez d'une courte promenade dans un village pittoresque à travers le labyrinthe de ruelles typiques, certaines d'entre elles construites sur le rocher et la falaise juste au-dessus de l'eau, et d’une vue à couper le souffle. Vous monterez ensuite jusqu'à Valtellina, une vallée située dans la région de la Lombardie (Italie du Nord) qui commence juste en haut du lac de Côme, autant que possible hors des voies principales, afin de traverser les villages minuscules et immaculés accrochés aux montagnes. Si vous le souhaitez, vous pouvez faire une halte pour déjeuner dans un restaurant traditionnel. Vous traverserez ensuite les magnifiques vignobles nichés dans la partie inférieure des Alpes. Dans l'après-midi, vous aurez la possibilité d’apprécier une dégustation de certains des excellents vins produits dans la région, accompagnés de charcuterie locale et de délicieux fromages. Puis vous rebrousserez chemin en vous arrêtant ici et là pour contempler le panorama et la nature, au fil de la route secondaire qui suit la forme de la côte est du lac de Côme. En soirée, votre guide vous reconduira à la gare d'où vous pourrez prendre votre train pour Milan !

Le lendemain, après le petit-déjeuner, votre guide vous conduira jusqu'à la célèbre vallée de la Valtellina, la célèbre station balnéaire d'été et d'hiver de Bormio, où vous pourrez vous promener dans le centre historique, vous rendre jusqu’à la « rue commerçante » de « via Roma » et vous pourrez choisir de vous baigner dans les installations d'eau chaude naturelle, dont l'une remonte à l'Empire romain, ou d’essayer les pistes de ski où la descente de la coupe du monde a lieu chaque année !

We had a truly outstanding, memorable and relaxing day of touring with Luca in Varenna on Lake Como and Valtellina. Luca was there to meet us at the train station in Varenna when we arrived from Milan and started us off with a walk along the Lake Como shoreline. He then drove us to a historic castle on a high point above Varenna to take in the beautiful view of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. We then drove to the town of Morbegno to sample one of the local cheeses, bitto, at f.Ili Ciapponi. We tasted 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 year old bitto and explored the shops impressive wine cellar. Our next stop was Ristorante Quattro Stagioni at Agriturismo La Fiorida for a wonderful outdoor lunch of local specialties. After lunch, Luca gave us a private tour of the cheese making facilities at Agriturismo La Fiorida. We then drove on through the beautiful, scenic valley surrounded by mountains and hillside vineyards to Nera winery for a tour of the winery and a wine tasting accompanied by salumi and cheese. Luca orchestrated the wine tasting, which was excellent, and conducted the tour of the facility himself. Following the tasting, Luca drove us to the station to catch our train back to Milan, on the way making detours to show us special places he thought wed enjoy for the beauty. We felt the pace of the day was perfect and Lucas knowledge of the area, the food and the wine combined with his great, easy-going personality made for one of the most memorable days of our trip. We enjoyed Lucas company, commentary, guidance and personal touch throughout the tour and we will definitely use him to do more exploring when we return to the area. Luca is a gem!!!

Luca was absolutely amazing! My husband and I took this tour on our honeymoon, and we did not regret it one bit. Luca met us at the train station, and then drove us around Lake Como and took us into the winery terraces of the Sassella region, and then personally gave us a wonderful tour of the Nera Winery. He even took us to a local restaurant for lunch which had simply stunning food, local to the region, delicious, and all the better because there was no way my husband or I was going to find that place by ourselves. It was a special treat, and we were so thankful for Luca's knowledge of the area, and great demeanor. We 100 recommend taking this tour! Thank you, Luca!!

The private tour was amazing and I highly recommend Luca as the tour guide. He makes the day very fun as he brings you to not only the touristy areas, but also local places. He booked an amazing lunch for us with a view of both the Dolomites and the Alps, and the food was truly amazing. Also, he brought us to an amazing vineyard where we could taste the wine and learn all about the process. Luca makes the experience very friendly and welcoming, as he knows many people in the area. We felt completely immersed into the culture the entire time, and left with full bellies and smiling faces!

Luca was an amazing guide and this trip was definitely the highlight of our trip. We saw and experienced the true North of Italy with private tours in a small town wine cellar, cheese cellar and local winery. We stopped at a Castle above Varenna and saw the most amazing views of Lake Como etc

Fantastic day trip with Luca! This was the highlight of the trip. We opted not to do the winery, and Luca took us to a huge variety of extra excursions/secret spots along the way. Highly recommended.
