The information provided was very interesting, and I sincerely recommend a visit to Dachau. While sobering, it is good to be reminded of the atrocities suffered there as it is one thing to be there and another to read it in a book. Our tour guide, Carlotta, was another thing entirely. She arrived late and another tour guide had to tell us that this was our guide. She made rude comments about being handed tickets that were folded saying they looked like someone had sat on them. She asked us questions expecting it to be an "interactive" tour which might have been fine if she didn't start lecturing us about how we needed to participate when people didn't have an answer for some questions. At one point, when we had some free time, she was on the phone, and an older gentleman came up to ask her a question about when and where we were to meet up (her instructions were very unclear) and she put her hand in his face and told him she was busy. Earlier she had just given us a lecture on kindness and how that prevents atrocities. It seems she might have taken her own advice.

Our tour guide Conni was fantastic. She explained all the history and conducted a fantastic tour. Dachau is an emotional place to visit and she conveyed this and handled it well.

I normally dont write reviews, but this tour merited one. The tour guide/historias was knowledgeable, passionate, and professional. Will recommend to other travels. Smooth travel day, no delays!

This was a very difficult place to tour... however with our phenomenal guide I was able to learn a great deal about what took place at Dachau. I would highly recommend this tour

Eric was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Dachau. Am very glad we did the tour rather than go by ourselves.

This tour was very interesting. The topic is a little bit depressing, but it such a huge part of history. Our guide was Charlotte who was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. My only issue with the tour was that we spent a lot of time outside of the buildings/museum talking about what was in them and then given free time to wander on our own. It would have been much better to have the guide take us into each building and point out the main things to see with some information about each. There are so many things to see that we couldn’t possible read everything and didn’t always know what we were looking at.

Wonderful tour that everybody should experience, as the tour guide Eric put it, "it's not the most fun tour on your vacation but is definitely the most important one you'll do in Europe." Eric is such a fabulous guide, even with such a depressing place he kept the mood hopefully and light. Will be advising everyone I know to take his tour if they're ever heading to Prague!

Very Informative. Tina was an excellent guide that took care of her group both getting to and at the memorial site. Lots of history to absorb which Tina did professionally in the short time she was allowed. Willi and Brennan, Canada.

The guided tour of Dachau concentration camp was haunting. Ulrich was a wonderful guide, touched by the inhumanity of man towards man, and presented the camp, life there and the shear horror in a moving and genuine manner. Not to be missed if you want to get a true sense of where concentration camps began.

Definitely a must tour if visiting this area. Whether or not you are familiar with this WWII history you will learn, be moved and be impacted by this site. The guide was informative but really no humor or sarcasm is necessary or appreciated here. Would have liked a bit more time to read the signage/displays rather than listen to guide as the information contained was excellent.

Powerful and informative, but very worthwhile. Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. One slight negative was that tour guide led group at fast speed through transportation system seldom looking back to see if entire group was with him.

No amount of studying in schools, reading of books or watching of documentaries can ever truly prepare you for the reality of walking through the gates at Dachau Concentration Camp. Arriving at the visitor center and walking the path toward the entrance to the camp you can almost feel a change in the atmosphere, as if the spirits of those who suffered here still haunt the grounds. This is not a tour for those who are looking for a light and easy walk into history. This is a tour where one cannot help but so some self-reflection on our attitudes toward life and others. Our guide was incredibly well informed and knew so much of this history of the camp. You could see how the story he told behind each stop affected him and thus, affected us. Some on our tour had relatives who were imprisoned here, others had relatives who were among the liberation forces who freed the camp. This tour is an eye opener even for those who have deeply studied WW II and the terrors of the concentration camps. Even more frightening was to learn how quickly and easily the camps were established and hidden in plain sight. If you are ready to learn, truly learn and reflect on just what impact Dachau had on the course of human events, and nearly could have had on our existence as we know it, then this is the tour for you.

Our guide was exceptionally knowledgable, and she guided a large group smoothly through the public transport, and through Dachau.

This tour was definitely an eye opener. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable, making the tour very real. There is an eerie-ness and definite coldness about the place, but I would highly recommend a visit. Without our guide, I don't think it would have had the same impact. No problem with meeting in Munich and getting the train and bus to the site.
