Stopover Oman 3 Nights 4 Days

DAY 1: Your guide will pick you up at Muscat International Airport and you will directly start to explore the highlights of the capital of Oman, Muscat. Your Half-Day City tour of Muscat will start from exploring the Sultan Qaboos Mosque- Grand Mosque, the 5th biggest Mosque in the world (please consider the dress code). The Mosque is open from 0800 HRS till 1100 HRS (except Friday). Pass the embassy quarter and enjoy a guided tour through the beautiful Royal Opera House (tour services are just available if there is no rehearsal on stage). Visit the Bait Al Baranda Museum. After this you drive along the corniche to Muttrah Souk, the oldest souk in Oman. Continue to Al Alam Palace,Forts Al Mirani and Al Jalali. Check in at the hotel. In the afternoon you will be picked up again from there and brought to the marina. There you will enjoy a boat trip along the coastline of the capital during sunset. Overnight at Ramee Guestline Hotel.
DAY 2: You will leave the capital to explore the interior region. The route leads you to Nakhl, where you will visit the fort which was built on a huge rock. After that you drive through the old part of the city, passing traditional gardens and old mud houses. Stop at Ain Thowarah, which are hot springs. From there on you will enjoy a real adventure: crossing the mountains via Wadi Bani Awf! On your way you will have the possibility to enjoy a walk in the mountain village Bilad Said. After passing the mountains you reach to Al Hamra. It is a small village where locals opened its former house as a museum for visitors to experience the lifestyle of an Omani. Overnight at Al Diyar Hotel Nizwa.
DAY 3: In the morning you will discover the old capital of Oman, Nizwa. Walk around the souq and get to know about the cities long history while walking through the fort. From there you proceed to another beautiful wadi, called Wadi Bani Khalid, which invites you to have a swim or just to enjoy the beautiful scenery. After that you will enter the magical desert Sharqiyah Sands. Enjoy the sunset on top of the dunes and a traditional dinner at the camp. Overnight at Sama al Wasil.
DAY 4: Departure :Depending on your departure time at the airport you have the possibility to see the following sights: First of all you will return to the coastline and reach Sur. In former times one of the most important trading cities in the Arabian Sea it is now a more silent but still beautiful city. You visit the dhow factory where traditional wooden ships are made and the open air dhow museum. After leaving Sur you will drive alongside the coastline to Muscat. Take the chance to walk through Wadi Shab or to explore Wadi Tiwi by car. Just in time to reach your flight you will be brought back to Muscat International Airport.
