Your tour begins at Digamber Jain Temple, but from there, the itinerary is up to you. Your day can consists of a mix of some popular and some hidden places, including palaces, mansions, elegant shrines, popular eateries, and colorful bazaars. During the tour, you will witness the local lifestyle; see architectural marvels, multicolored facades, and decorated shops; and savor delicacies from popular eateries.

To visualize the beauty of the bygone days, the trained guide gives an accurate description of the sights, along with rare pictures and sketches. The tour includes audio commentary through wireless headsets and food from famous eateries. To make the experience more holistic, a book has been specially drafted with the help of experts in the field of Indian history, and a book is given to each guest.

Historic Monuments: Jama Masjid Mosque, Red Fort, Town Hall

Worship Places: Gauri Shanker Hindu Temple, Digamber Jain Temple, Christian Baptist Church, Fatehpuri Mosque & Gurudwara Sis Ganj

Palaces: Begum Shamroo Palace, Gadodiya Palace, Zeenat Mahal Palace

Spice Market: Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market

Bazaars: Chandni Chowk (literally meaning – the moonlit square), Kinari bazaar (wedding market, traditional outfits), Dariba kalan (silver street), Ballimaran (bangles, footwear) etc.

Havelis: Heritage Havelis with original Mughal architecture

Eateries: Centuries old shops serving the famous Old Delhi delicacies

For first timer Americans to Delhi this tour was just excellent. Guide was attentitive, incredibly informative and conversed in perfect English. He sheparded us through the crowds as we explored markets, architectures and tastes of Old Delhi. Don't miss Old Delhi but equally, don't try doing it by yourself.....just too crazy without an insightful guide like ours. This is the only way to go!!
