Tour was good, no significant complaints at all. It just felt a bit disorganized at times with the staff trying to separate who was going where (Pompeii, Sorrento, etc), and that a lot of time was wasted trying to figure this out, which meant less time for Pompeii and Sorrento sights. The lunch provided was really good. The tour guide and included entrance into Pompeii was super helpful as well. 2 hours in Pompeii is not enough, but definitely gives you a good taste.

Pompeii was amazing! Our guide, Maria, was very knowledgeable, funny, and informative. We broke off after the Pompeii excursion and went with another couple to Sorento with a different guide. Sorento is beautiful. We will more than likely go here again for a period of time. Thank you, Viator for providing knowledgeable, professional, and timely tours. Your company made our Shore Excursions stress free.

We took this tour as part of a shore excursion, but turned out to be too much for one day and almost missed our ship. Once at Pompeii, the Guide gave us 10 minutes to get use the restroom. A girl decided to use the restroom as the group was gathering to go in; so we all had to wait for her another 15 minutes before we could start. Once we got in to Pompeii, the tour was good and our Guide, Maria was very knowledgeable. The only issue-it is hard to hear with 1 ear piece and you get static if you get too far from the guide. When the Pompeii Tour was done, the group split by the next tour or returning back to the ship. Maria took the Sorrento people to lunch. There was supposed to be 12 for Sorrento but we were missing 3. It took about 30 minutes for Maria to find the missing tourists who had gone with the wrong tour. Then they had to eat, so we were about an hour late getting out, but we were assured that it would not be a problem. The drive to Sorrento was amazing and Maria pointed out items along the way. Maria took us on a short walking tour, and we had about 30 minutes to shop then meet back at the end of the shopping street. One person was still shopping, so we had another 10 minute late start to head out. Because of all these delays, I was getting worried about getting back to the ship on time, but Maria said it would not be a problem. When we left Sorrento, there was an accident that caused traffic to really back up. Again, I was thinking it was going to be a problem, but Maria said that they would have us back before the ship departed. Once we finally got more lanes, the driver made up time and I thought we would actually be OK on time to get back to the ship. At about 5:15, we got in to the Port and I really thought we were going to make it, but that is when traffic came to a complete standstill. We crawled for the next 45 minutes within the Port and by this time I was really stressed that we were not going to make the ship by 6:30. My husband had the GPS for our Port on his phone and I told him

Pompeii is a great place to see! Incredible history!! To set expectations: We got off the cruise ship and walked past all the tour buses in search for our bus, we had to exit the port secure area - where all the Taxis were hanging out. The tour guide Maria was there holding a sign with our name on it. She led us to the main street to get on the bus, which was a bit of a walk. The bus stopped several times along the way to pick up other tourists. We got to Pompeii within 35 minutes. We collected our headphones or earphones so you don't have to crowd the tour guide. There is a chance to stop and use the restroom/bathroom/WC/toilet before we set off on the tour. Wear sensible shoes and if you get thirsty - bring a bottle of water. You will walk up hill, down, and on rock bumpy roads. To say the road is cobble stones - its not the tiny cobbles but large boulders so take care in walking!! The tour lasted about 2 hours and in the end we were exhausted. The tour guide took us to a local restaurant bit of a walk for lunch. The pre-arranged lunch offered pizza or spaghetti with a cold soda, water, or coffee/tea included. There were bathrooms available and were clean too. The group split into two - we paid to go to Sorrento and the other group paid to Mount Vesuvius. Following lunch we took off to Sorrento - a beautiful town located on the side of a hill and overlooked the ocean. WOW it was spectacular! The tour included a stop to taste Limoncello which is made local. On the way back to town if you sit on the ocean side of the bus you may get lucky to catch a glimpse of the sunset. Our lovely tour guide returned us to the ship with an hour to spare before the ship departed. The trip is very well worth it and since we were NOT interested in the cheap tourist shopping we felt the time spent in Sorrento was just right!

We waited an hour on the bus while we picked up other travelers from various hotels. Pompeii was great but Sorrento was NOT worth the drive. Basically we got there and walked through a shopping area and got back in the bus.
