L'excursion débute vers 08:00 au départ du quai Estiva, dans le quartier Ribeira de Porto. Une fois commencée, la croisière se poursuit vers Pinhão. Petit déjeuner servi à bord. Pendant la croisière, profitez des paysages de la vallée du fleuve où vous pourrez admirer les fantastiques vignobles, les « quintas » (manoirs) et les montagnes alentours.
La croisière inclut le déjeuner, qui sera servi après 12:00. L'excursion continue jusqu'à atteindre le barrage de Carrapatelo, qui présente une dénivellation de 35 mètres. Arrivée à Régua vers 16:00, puis la croisière se poursuit jusqu'à un deuxième barrage, appelé Bagaúste, cette fois avec une dénivellation de 27 mètres.
Après une journée sur le fleuve Douro, la croisière arrive à Pinhão vers 17:45, où vous aurez environ 30 minutes de temps libre. Il suffit d'admirer la beauté des alentours.
Le train retourne à 18:20 et arrive à la gare Campanhã São Bento. En cas de problème lors du retour, le voyage s’effectuera en bus.

We embarked at 8am. It is wise to show up 15 - 20 minutes early. Breakfast was adequate but the lunch was superb. The scenery was the highlight of the tour. Upon returning we stopped at a winery that specialized in Moscatel. We had plenty of time to eat a snack, taste wine and enjoy the beautiful property. The bus trip was very comfortable. Overall I highly recommend this tour and will definitely consider doing it again someday.

All in all the trip was good. Food and scenery was good. Only negative is that we found the final leg to Pinhao seem to drag out and the train ride bask was only fair. There was not much to see in Pinhao in the area of the dock and the train station. Could have gotten off on the stop before Pinhao and would have felt better. Four of us share the same view.

I gave it a one star because that is the lowest choice offered. 600 people were crowded on a small boat for 10 hours. The analogy would be cattle or sardines but they both have more room. I have cruised a lot but this by far the worse. The pick up at the end of the trip was a total disaster. The lunch was fine but the breakfast was a roll, coffee, and tang. I am generally pleased with most trips and give high ratings. At the end of a 12 hour day, our party of 4 were tired, hot, and angry. This could have been an enjoyable trip as the river and sights were awesome. Management of this company needs to reevaluate.. For travelers, stay far, far, far, away from these clowns.

The cruise was very long and tiring and I wanted it to end 2 hours before it did. Pinhao is small hilly and cobbled and not for those with walking difficulties. Not very much to do there either. We left our apartment at 7.15am and arrived back at 10pm. Definitely would not repeat the experience. Meals on board the boat were excellent.
