Meet your guide at 10am at the Square of the Knights on the Cross, also known as Krizovnicke Namesti. The first stop on this 2-hour walking tour is Národní Street, where riot police violently suppressed a peaceful student demonstration in 1989, initiating the Velvet Revolution. As you stroll to the
statues of Wenceslas Square, a local guide will share fascinating stories about what life was like during the Nazi and Russian occupations.
This is a small-group tour, limited to 15 people, which finishes up in Prague city center.

Being interested in history, the tour really appealed to me. On the walking tour we learned more about the invasion during WWII and the communist occupation of Prague after the war. Our guide was very well versed in this history.
We were with a young college student. He was very well informed and could answer our questions with ease. He had a very mature personality.
We were the only two people on this tour... and we enjoyed every minute of the tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, informative and passionate about her hopes for a brighter future for the Czech Republic. Wear comfortable shoes- its a lot of walking.
Great tour. Small group.
Dominick our guide was very informative. We saw places, plaques and monuments to WWII and communism we would have over looked. I took this tour with my brother who knows his history and Dominick was up to the challenge. If you are in Prague and have a morning to spare this is a great tour. It focuses on different aspect of Czechoslovakia then a visit to the Prague castle does. I highly recommend this.
The tour begins at Charles Square, continues to the Vitkov memorial and concludes at Wenceslas Square. This is a fascinating tour, full of analysis and stories that you simply cannot get from the history books. The tour was chronological and had clear themes that were tied together at the end when discussing the role of the EU in Czech history. The tour guide was brilliant, informative, clear and insightful. Great tour.
Our guide was wonderful. We ran over at least 15 minutes. He loved questions and the discussion that followed. So surprised that there was just the 2 of us. History buffs are missing out!
