Cette étonnante visite commence dans un ranch idéalement situé en plein cœur de Bavaro. Tous les passagers recevront des instructions sur la sécurité et le fonctionnement des véhicules. Les participants conduiront leur propre buggy automatique « caravan-style » en suivant le guide qui mènera le groupe.
Le parcours « Flintstones buggy » a une longueur de 10 kilomètres et vous emmènera à travers une variété de végétation luxuriante et formations/collines rocheuses. Le circuit mène directement dans la campagne où vous pouvez admirer ânes, vaches, chevaux, mouton et cochons !
Après environ 25 minutes de trajet, l'excursion dispose de son premier arrêt à dans une maison dominicaine typique et le «colmado » local (une petite épicerie) où les participants peuvent déguster un véritable cacao et café dominicain. Plongez-vous dans la culture dominicaine tandis que vous rejoignez les habitants de la campagne qui vont faire leurs courses quotidiennes. Personne ne vous demandera d'acheter quelque chose, mais si vous avez besoin de nourriture ou de spécialités locales, vous pourrez profiter des prix avantageux !
Environ 20 minutes plus tard, l'excursion se poursuivra hors-piste et vous serez entouré de vues tout simplement à couper le souffle. Vous passerez devant des maisons colorées et parcourrez de splendides paysages de plantations de bananes et de terres agricoles. Il s'agit de la véritable République dominicaine ! Ici le sentier devient encore plus « difficiles » et « sauvage » et il y a quelques vues spectaculaires de « falaises » formées sur des millions d'années.
L'excursion se poursuit jusqu'à l'arrivée à la « grotte de la fantaisie » ! Nous entrons d'abord dans la caverne et nous nous promenons presque jusqu'à son extrémité à travers les magnifiques et énormes stalactites et stalagmites illuminées. Vous en apprendrez plus sur la légende de la «Princesse cachée » et tous ses secrets ! Il ne s'agit pas d'une grotte publique, elle est accessible uniquement à votre visite. Il s'agit d'une expérience authentique à 100 % ! Dans la grotte vous sentirez les bosses et des surfaces irrégulières du chemin. Il y a eu un minimum de modifications apportées à la grotte afin qu'elle conserve son authenticité et sa beauté naturelle.
Après avoir exploré la « grotte de la fantaisie », vous conduirez jusqu'aux marches de Bedrock city ! Bedrock city est un autre groupe de grottes qui se trouvent au-dessus de la grande grotte, une combinaison rare et par conséquent, tout à fait unique ! Pourquoi le nom de Bedrock city ? D'ici, vous pouvez voir la villa de Fred Flintstone (la famille Pierrafeu), le garage avec la voiture des Pierrafeu et bien plus encore.
Après environ 35 minutes consacrées à la grotte, il sera temps de rentrer. Avec le soleil sur votre visage et les cheveux au vent, vous ramènerez votre buggy à ciel ouvert vers le ranch. Ici, les clients ont la possibilité d'acheter des photos de l'excursion et d'autres souvenirs ou de profiter de boissons aux saveurs dominicaines au bar.

Loved the trip... 2 things 1. Bring bandanas 2. Bring wrap around eye wear . very dusty I have been on many in other areas and this ride is VERY DUSTY the caves are amazing the scenes on the ride are amazing. Must do!

We very much enjoyed the dune buggies. It was a very fun ride and definitely got muddy. The coffee we tasted was the best we ever had and the caves were very cool. Loved the Flintstones theme cave

You will get dirty but it's a great bumpy fun ride. The extra cave tour was great as well. Awesome! !

I highly recommend this excursion. My family stayed in Punta Cana for a week and took two excursions. We took this Buggy adventure excursion and the Four Adventures excursion. In my opinion, going on one excursion on the water and one excursion on the land was a great decision. We have teenage sons and they thoroughly enjoyed both excursions. - On the Buggy excursion you drive a two man dune buggy or a four man family buggy through the Dominican country side. While the group does stay together and you are not allowed to pass each other, you get to drive surprisingly fast on the straighter roads. Some of the roads are quite bumpy. But it is enjoyable navigating them. You do make several rest stops along the way so you can change drivers if you want to make sure everybody in your family gets a turn driving. But, frankly, being a passenger is also very enjoyable as you get to look around more. The stop at a local residence was very enjoyable with a nice tour of the residence and a cup of coffee. You can sample some the foods like bananas and plantains and coffee. Be careful if they ask if you want to taste one of the chile peppers. They are tiny but crazy hot. In the middle of the drive you get to stop at a cave and walk through it. The cave is awesome and surprisingly deep. No need to worry about small spaces. The cave is huge and you will not get claustrophobic. -- When you return to the buggy ranch there is a nice little shop where you can purchase some of the usual trinkets. But you can also sit down and drink a bottle of water while watching the pictures and videos the guides took while you were driving. The picture are great and you will definitely want to purchase them. In the end, I think pairing this excursion with the Four Adventures excursion was a great combination. Definitely 5 stars for both excursions.

A lot of fun! The buggies are safely put together and do pack a bit of a punch. The trail is mostly gravel and mud you will get splashed but this is part of the enjoyment make sure you wear clothes that you don't care much about. The cave at the end is very beautiful with some truly disturbing Flintstones characters. Overall very good.

Our guide Ivan Rosales and his assistant were extremely pleasant and quite knowledgible about anything we had a question about, whether it pertained to the terrain, plants, cave dwellings, etc., etc. Great sense of humor also. The dune buggies supplied are primarily open with a roll cage and were quite capable with regard to acceleration and handling the rough terrain. Just in case of a mechanical problem which we did not have, a mechanic follows in another buggy. I would certainly recommend this excursion over others that claim to be similar. We spoke to some folks at our resort with regard to their experiences with other tours...and they all seemed dissappointed that they did not join us instead. Make sure you bring goggles and a scarf to cover your face from the dust. Also consider bringing a couple of shower caps from your resort to put on your head under the helmets supplied. Just a precaution as my wife is paranoid about getting cooties from someone else's head This is a total thumbs up tour!!!
