We had a good time on our dune buggy We had fun on this excursion even though it was mostly just driving on dusty roads. There was no water or sand, and there were multiple staging areas to get started.

Overall great experience, first time out of USA and I wanted all the history and tours that I could as I was on vacation. I loved the nature tour and driving through there neighborhoods and a different culture overall. But please wear goggles or shades and a mask

There were a couple of issues. First off, I did not receive the email from the tour guide until like 8PM the night before, which ultimately was not too big of an issue because I called ahead of time from the hotel to make sure about pickup. Once we got to the location, the place was nice and everything BUT they did not check if you were wearing proper shoes or anything etc... Also, we had signed up for the buggies but instead we got these like truck car things and when we mentioned it to the tour guide he said ohh these are better more expensive... dude, that's not what we signed up for. There was no attempt to accommodate us or even any caring about our feelings. Ride was slow and boring, no mud as promised? minus the one section where they had the rig up. not to mention the idiots in front of us that were swerving and giving the kids money, which was EVERYTHING THEY WERE TOLD NOT TO DO. no consequences for them. beach was nice, full of vendors as per mentioned in other reviews. coffee/cacao spot was nice as well. didn't go in the cave to swim as it is TINY and probably only meant for like 10-20 people at a time, if that. We only did a half day tour so I understand like the little amount of time we spent at both locations, but if the ride is going to be that slow or whatever, what's the point? i would have rather spent more time at the beach if anything... probably wouldn't recommend to others. there are many companies in the area that do the same.

This was our 9th vacation to beautiful Dominican Republic but the first time we chose to do a Dune Buggy Excursion. The WIld Buggy Eco Adventure by Viator was very well organized and offered a variety of experiences including the scenic route, the stop at a beautiful beach as well as visiting a cave in which a local tribal community and dance was experienced along with tasting of coffee and mamajuana! The 4 hour time frame for this excursion was just right. I would highly recommend this excursion and our guide, Norbert was extremely cordial and helpful which made the excursion even more enjoyable. We had a group of 8 and we all had a blast!

Picked up by a cab at hotel which drove us to the main gate. We then were switched over to the tour truck which took us to the Wild Buggy Eco Adventure. There we signed wavers, they had a small store to buy face bandana's for 5US and Sunglasses if needed for 3US. The buggies themsevles have seen better days. Beat up, loud, and spewed out smoke. They did have newer side by sides but only some people got them. They provided old helmets that were filthy and didnt really fit. The seat belt harness didnt adjust and the buckles if any were rusted so safety wasnt a huge concern for this company. We set off first to a local shop to see how coffee and cocoa is made, then got a chance to buy goods at the shop if wanted. Our next stop was to a fresh water cave where we had a chance to jump in for a very quick swim. There were shops near the cave but the people there were so pushy to get us to look we avoided them. Next stop was to a near by beach where you could go swim if wanted. In all the tour was quick. The trails were tight, werent able to go fast. They tried getting more money out of us if we wanted a more private tour where we would stay longer at the sites and be able to drive faster in the buggies but for 2 buggies they wanted an additonal 100US 50 each. In all I wouldnt go back to do this excursion again. They did have a good photographer follow us all around which after we could buy a burned CD of all the pics he took. 25 US for the CD.

I had an amazing experience on the tour. I would definitely recommend doing the VIP option which gives you a private tour as opposed to being in a large group. I saw some groups as large as 20 buggys and I just dont see how you can get the most enjoyable experience with a a group that big. The VIP option was an extra 45 for me and my partner. The coffee tour and Macao Beach were the highlights of the excursion. Macao Beach is absolutely beautiful, although we had to be very careful at the time we were there because of ongoing surfing lessons. You still have a lot of privacy and room to maneuver for excellent photos on the beach

This tour was so much fun! We got super muddy so prepare yourself for that, soon after we were taken to a cave that had fresh water we got to jump in. Got most of the mud off then you get a chance to shop and drink mamajuana (must have drink). Then last stop is Macao Beach was was amazing.

We had a great time!! Absolutely loved it. I took my Colombian friend to the Dominican Republic for the fist time and booked this adventure for us and my family. Now all she keeps asking is When are we going back?. I would recommend this to all of my friends. Great experience.
