I love to buy all my tours with you guys, but this tour I don't recommend it at all. They took us to Taittinger and gave us only one tasting we everybody else in another groups tasted 3 different champagne after that they told us that there was no space for the tasting at the Moet et Chandon but they were going to take us to another place at the same level that Moet Chandon, but they took us to Champagne the Castellane there were no comparison between both places, plus the lady in the tour didn't know what was she talking about. Melody the tour guide was a very nice and sweet person; she stopped for 15 to Moet Chandon because I wanted to buy souvenirs.

Christophe was a great guide. Gave us a quick tour of Reims city, some major champagne house locations and then on to the Tattinget house and chalk caves. After lunch on our own in Epernay we visited Moet and Chandon. Elegant champagne tasting. Only negative is lots of time spent in the van and traffic coming back into Reims but so much more fun than driving on your own.

I have taken a number of wine tours in multiple countries and this was by far the worst. Our tour guide was not friendly. He did not freely share information about any of the places we visited - we as guests had to ask all questions to learn anything at all. The champagne house tours include the lowest priced ticket which included only a single glass of each house's bottom of the line offering that you certainly don't need to go to Champagne to taste as they are widely available at grocery stores around the world. For the price paid and length of the tour, we should have received the full tasting at each champagne house and had enough time to visit a third. Instead we wasted time driving through parking lots of wineries we did not visit. Save your money and either go to Champagne on your own or arrange a tour with O Chateau.

If you want to drink Champagne, DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!! Let me start by saying, our guide was very nice and spoke excellent English. But that's where the positives end. We arrived at our pickup location at 9:30 and left promptly. We drove to see a cathedral in town and looked at the outside but were told we didn't have time to go in and look around. That was fine since we wanted to drink Champagne! From there, we proceeded to drive around for over an hour with our guide pointing out Champagne houses around the area. To be honest, if I wanted to see those places, I would have booked a tasting there. By the time we arrived at Taittinger, all 8 of us were wondering how much longer until we got to taste. But alas, it would be another hour before we could taste anything! We went on a thorough tour of Taittinger. Our guide was great but it was a long tour. Once we were done with the tour, we were so excited to taste Champagne! Imagine our surprise when we were given a single small tasting. THAT WAS IT! We asked for another and they told us we needed to pay extra for an additional tasting. Others had apparently gotten the memo and signed up because other folks on the tour had 2 or 3 tastings. After that disappointment, we were looking forward to getting out of there and going to our next tasting. BUT... we continued to drive around town and get a tour of the area while sitting in a van!! We went to a nice look out area and walked up to see where Dom Periginon was buried. Again, it would have been great if we had tasted more than a few sips of Champagne. By this time, it was already almost 1pm! He drove us into town and we were given a few options for lunch. All restaurants were pretty pricey so lunch added an additional 100 dollars to an already expensive tour. We were then off to Moet Chandon. If I could insert an eye-roll here I would. Talk about a bunch of snobs. They proceeded to show us a COMMERCIAL for the brand. We went on another VERY long tour learning the exact same thing we had just learned at Taittinger. Another couple on the tour joked that they would have preferred to skip the tour and go straight to the tasting. Well we were all disappointed again. We were given a SINGLE taste at Moet and then pushed out into the gift shop. What a joke. At this point, all 8 of us were upset that after an entire day of Champagne tasting, that cost us 300/couple, we all had an equivalent to a single glass of Champagne. This tour is NOT worth the cost. It's dramatically overpriced for what you get. Again, our guide was nice but at the end of the day, the most important thing is the full experience. I would NEVER recommend this tour to anyone. In fact, I am going to post this same review on Trip Advisor so people are aware of what a scam this tour was. If the Champagne houses don't serve champagne, then my suggestion is to lower the price of the tour- or include lunch. Additionally, it would have been fantastic if the guide served us all a glass of Champagne at the lookout spot he took us to. That would have gone a long way in satisfying all people on the tour. In addition to the 300 we spent on the tour itself, we paid an additional 190 for 2 round trip train tickets from Paris to Reims and an additional 100 for our lunch for 2. To think we spent almost 600 on this tour makes me sick to my stomach. Total waste of money.

The full day tour we did in Champagne was the highlight of a week long visit to France. Our guide, Raphael, was friendly, knowledgeable and fun, and a great guide to introduce us to Champagne. After meeting at Reims train station, Raphael showed us the sites of Reims before taking us to Taittinger, Epernay, Hautvilliers and Moet and Chandon. He gave us tips and recommendations along the way, and was an absolute pleasure. We didn't know what to expect from this tour, but we can wait to return and take it again!
