The Mission District is the birthplace of San Francisco, yet was recently named the hippest neighborhood in America by Vanity Fair. This district is an eclectic mix of old and new, Victorian homes and modern luxury buildings, a bohemian arts vibe mixed with traditional Latin American culture and lately a huge influx of hipsters and tech workers throng the area each evening in search of a great meal at one of the areas famous eateries.

Valencia Street is the main street for dining options in the Mission District. With several restaurants and eateries on each block, the competition is fierce, resulting in some incredible culinary creations. If an eatery is not at the top of their game, they'd better get there soon, because there is always another new place about to open a couple doors away.

The Women's Building is the first of it's kind anywhere in the world. This magnificent piece of public art, which covers two sides of the building and reaches five stories high, depicts the power and contributions of women throughout history and the world.

The tour guide did not show up. We were 45 minutes early and waited until 15 minutes after the scheduled departure. We received no notice of delay or change. We texted the contact number and received no response, so we left. Rescinding our payment via our card company.
