Votre guide local vous transférera depuis votre hall d'hôtel à l'heure souhaitée dans la matinée. Vous suivrez ensuite les traces de Rick Stein, de la BBC, dans vos dégustations à Shanghai.
Vous vous rendrez d'abord au bazar Yuyuan, qui est le vieux marché de l'architecture de la dynastie Ming et Qing, avec divers magasins de souvenirs et des restaurants où vous pouvez profiter de faire du shopping et prendre des photos. Si vous êtes intéressé, vous aurez la chance de goûter à des fameux en-cas sur les marchés, comme des rouleaux de printemps et des gros raviolis dans de la soupe. Le fameux jardin Yu est juste à côté du bazar ; si vous voulez faire une visite, veuillez en informer votre guide (les billets d'entrée sont à vos frais).
Après votre visite matinale, votre guide vous emmènera dans un bon restaurant local où vous pourrez essayer quelques mets locaux connus, tels que Xiao Long Bao (raviolis en soupe) et le plat préféré du président Mao, Hong Shao Rou (porc braisé en sauce brune). Xiao Long Bao est caractéristique de la cuisine de Shanghai, avec plus de cent ans d'histoire. Le « Xiao Long » au porc haché est la variante la plus classique, mais si c'est la bonne saison, vous pouvez aussi essayer celle à la chair de crabe.
Dans l'après-midi, vous visiterez la tour de Shanghai, le plus haut bâtiment de Chine (le 2e plus haut du monde). L'observatoire de « Shanghai Tower » est à une hauteur de 632 mètres, et vous pourrez profiter d'une vue panoramique sur toute la ville avec une vue à 360 degrés à « Airborne city » et « City’s smart eyes ». Près du sommet, ne manquez pas de voir la chape, une expérience unique et une réussite high-tech.
Après cela, vous pourrez profiter d'une croisière reposante sur la rivière mère de Shanghai, le fleuve Huangpu. Vous aurez un aperçu du passé de Shanghai et découvrirez l'avenir prometteur de la ville depuis la zone de la Riverside Promenade. Votre croisière offre une superbe vue sur les grands bâtiments coloniaux le long du côté ouest du Bund, comme le célèbre Peace Hotel, la banque de développement Shanghai Pudong, etc. Tournez-vous vers l'est, vous verrez les gratte-ciel de Shanghai, comme l'Oriental Pearl TV Tower, le World Financial Center et la tour de Shanghai. Si vous choisissez un départ l'après-midi, vous pourrez profiter de la belle lumière qui baignera tout votre voyage.

My son and I had a BLAST with Caroline!! We were able to go to places we wanted to visit. Caroline was very friendly, kind, knowledgeable and speaks fluent English and she’s also a foodie. We enjoyed and learned a lot from the tour. Thank you! I highly recommend this tour. Caroline has been punctual, flexible, and eager to make us feel comfortable while touring around: a very pleasant companion!! We had a really good day today with Snow! It was easy from the beginning with Alana to schedule and update the tour up to our expectations showing great flexibility.Despite the pick up point was difficult to reach, it happened punctual.The driver behavior, driving and the cleaning of the van were perfect, with no delays at all!The visits and the explanations were amazing. We do appreciate the whole team for the effort as we had a great time and will recommend the tour to our colleagues!

From start to finish this tour is exceptional. We visited Yu Gardens, Shanghai Tower followed by dinner (excellent quality local cuisine) and then a River Cruise. The content of the tour is top notch and the attention and organisation we received from Queena was simply outstanding. Queena's enthusiastic and friendly nature ensured a seamless and thoroughly enjoyable experience for our entire group of fifteen people. Totally recommended ! Thank you Queena.

Wilson is an excellent guide! He was flexible about what we wanted to do and is knowledgeable, friendly and insightful. We had our reservations confirmed when we arrived at our room. Next day our guide Daisy arrived on time with our driver. Great guidance through all the tours and help with dinner ordering, getting a fork and everything. Dinner was great my favorite was the dumpings filled with broth. Daisy delivered us to the hotel safe and sound.

Great tour! I was on trip with 92 year old father - he's in great shape, but he is 92. The trip was a lot of work, the cabs, figuring out how to to get around, what to see, figuring out WHAT were were seeing, etc, etc. I finally decided to just splurge and get the private tour with private driver. Really great experience! If I had it to do again, I'd do it sooner and more often. Such a luxury to just be picked up at our hotel and be dropped off there at the end of the evening. Mary was not only prompt, she was early. I had warned them that some walking was fine, steps not good. Our tour guide Mary was very solicitous and the whole thing was planned perfectly. The weather was taken into account. We did the major outside portion in the beginning, then indoor portions later in the day when it was raining. We did have some minimal waiting time for driver, but nothing like trying to hail a cab, especially in the rain. Shanghai traffic. Dad really enjoyed the Shanghai Tower and all the comparisons, displays, etc. Not really my thing, but it was fine and he really enjoyed it. The elevator/lift is REALLY fast. Shrug. Again, not my thing, but Dad got a kick out of it. Meal at Paradise Dynasty was delicious and filing - lots of variety. Really enjoyed the whole tour - Shanghai Tower, the Yu Gardens, the marketplace, river cruise - All were great. My favorite part of the afternoon was the Yu Gardens and the marketplace. Fun walk and we actually knew what we were seeing since we had a guide. Mary is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She answered all our questions. She was reading useful. English although not her first language - is EXCELLENT. This tour really was a highlight of our two weeks in China. Everything was not perfect. It rained. And the big bright lights in the boat made photography at night .... Difficult. And Mary's navy blue coat was not always easy to spot when she was a couple of steps ahead of us. So, REALLY minor complaints. Not cheap, but worth it.
