I enjoyed immersing myself in the countryside for the day while learning about the Estonian relationship with Mother Nature. The pace of the tour was well thought out without too much travelling or staying in one spot for too long. We also had a great guide in Andres who never ceased to impact facts with wit and humor - keeping everyone in the group entertained throughout the day. A heads up you will need a basic level of fitness for the hikes and you may also want to apply some insect repellent for the mosquitoes that accompany you on the seaside leg of the tour.

I booked this tour because I read all about the history you will learn and the preparedness of your guides, but I didn't find that to be the experience. Our guide didn't speak to us at all in the car ride to and from each location. Once at the location we did get a bit of information on the background, but I didn't feel enlightened on Estonia after the day's end. I would have loved if our guide hung around the group to take photos, as most usually do. Or even pointed out restrooms, especially since we are going to remote locations, but that is something we had to seek out ourselves. There was also more walking than I had anticipated, at least 8km for the day, on slippery boardwalks or beach sand. We were devoured by mosquitoes and again, read that the guides will offer repellent, but that was not the case with ours, so I suggest you bring you own. All in all, I would recommend this trip, but prepare to hike a bit, don't expect a ton of history and come prepared.

Nice variety - 2 hikes, one in peat bog and one in a spruce forest and along the Baltic Sea, loved the Martime Museum, and the Manor House visit was informative.

Great day out of Tallinn. Marju the guide was great. Nice group of people. Loved the bog walk and the visits to the small villages. Museum was a treat. Manor House stop was probably the least impressive.

Very informative excursion. The national park was beautiful in autumn colours and the walk round peat bog lakes was interesting. Waterfall was not hugely impressive but interesting nonetheless. Tour guide, Maria was fantastic. Thank you for a great insight into the lovely Estonia.

An amazing tour in all respects. Only 6 on the tour so we got a really personalised experience from a great tour guide who really knew his stuff and also had a great sense of humour. There was a wonderful variety of stops as well, and we even accidentally gatecrashed an Estonian folk music festival when we went to the village for lunch and the festival was being held there. I particularly loved the Soviet submarine facility and the bog walk, which was just beautiful and a fairly unique ecosystem. THe lunch was amazing and definitely worth the extra price, a real sense of Estonian hospitality. If you are visiting Tallinn I would say without hesitation that you should do this tour, to get a sense of Estonia's countryside and history as well. I was particularly interested to hear about how Estonia used to be at the forefront of the world's shipping industry, training so many naval captains that they had private members clubs specially for them in places like Singapore. However, this was curbed by the USSR who needed to control the coastline.

A very broad-based informative tour finishing with a walk through the bog actually saw a Moor Frog which not many do - at the other end of the aesthetic scale was an old Soviet submarine degaussing complex - one original ungraffitied Soviet artwork left - fascinating stuff. The guide, Kris of Tallinn Traveller local supplier of the service, was excellent and well informed - also a dry sense of humour - ...so you will be making your own way out of the bog at the junction take the 17th exit out of 29, starting from the South West....

Kert, our guide, was very mindful of maximising the daylight hours and had clearly put a lot of thought into where we were going to go and where. All the stops were interesting and varied, and the lunch was excellent.
