Vilnius TV Tower Entrance Ticket

The Television Tower – is the tallest building (326,5 m) in Lithuania and is also included in the list of the world's tallest buildings. The TV Tower is not only a fascinating building, but it became a symbol of Lithuanian independence. The TV tower played a major role in the events of 13 January 1991, when 14 unarmed civilians lost their lives and 700 were injured opposing the Soviet military seizure of the tower. A small museum dedicated to them is on the ground floor and crosses in their memory are by the main entrance.

An Observation deck is situated in the circular part (165 m height) of Vilnius TV Tower. There is a revolving restaurant with bar and this is a great way to enjoy the 360 degree view of the city below. The outer ring of the top of the tower revolves once every 45 minutes, so you can see the city from multiple angles. By the way you will find the leaflets and notations on the window, which help you identify the key sites. You might be surprised on how flat the landscape is, because on the clear days Vilnius and its suburbs are visible in the radius of 50 km.

Outside the tower, you can find a Historical Antennae Park, which serves people who take interest in the development of telecommunications and has already become an additional object of attraction for tourists visiting Vilnius TV Tower. The exhibits are interesting from both technological and historical viewpoint; moreover, their design is spectacular, thus it is enjoyable to take a closer look at them and take pictures with the exhibits.
