In the evening, meet your guide at the departure point for your tour. With the help of e-bikes, you'll cover a lot of ground in a small amount of time. These e-bikes have a small motor to help power you, meaning you'll be able to go farther with less effort! These may be new, but they're easy to learn. Your expert guide will guide you around the National Mall, visiting the White House, the National Mall, Pennsylvania Avenue and plenty of other Monuments and Memorials. You'll be filled with the best history, urban legends, and fun stories that DC has to offer. After three hours of sightseeing you will return to the original departure point.

I would recommend this tour to any group from age 8-70. The small group was great in that we could all stay together crossing streets and finding places to park at the monuments, as well as hear the guide. Our guide, Caroline, was well informed and tailored the excursion to what we wanted to see the most. In general you meet at their office, sign waivers, grab a free water and get a short presentation on the E bikes. Then you are off to the monuments where you stop and the guide provides a short overview of the monument, answers questions and then stays with the bikes while you get an up close view and chance to explore. If you tell her the ones your group is most interested in she will make sure you get some extra time at them. There was plenty of time to climb to the top, take pictures, look for names, etc.. Most of the terrain is relatively flat but you can really tell the boost the E bike gives on hills. The bike was easy to maneuver for all, you start pedaling and it kicks in and just makes it easier. For those with joint problems or who are a little older and skeptical of being able to do a 3 hour bike tour I would recommend it whole heartedly!. Have someone in the group bring a small backpack for cameras, light jackets, etc.. Wear sneakers or closed toe shoes and maybe put on a little bug spray before you go as the MLK and FDR monuments were in wooded, shady areas and you view them at dusk. If you go all will have fun and it is truly beautiful at night!
